A SAFE SPACE IS NEEDED
FOR THE FOLLOWING
REASONS:
Understand who is seeking
services in the area and what
services they need.
Increase public safety in the area
and reduce criminal activity,
including drive-through drug
dealing a significant issue in
the past.
Provide secure, controlled access
to integrated service space
among existing service facilities.
Support the new resource center
model right now, not waiting until
June 2019.
Services will be coordinated through a new
Coordinated Services card, given through a brief
intake by providers in the safe space. The card will:

WHAT WILL BE IN THE SAFE SPACE:
Services already provided inside The Road Home and Catholic Community
Services will continue in the safe space. These services include:
Shelter
Case management
Employment support
HOW THE SAFE SPACE
Computer lab
Temporary assistance (food stamps/SNAP, general assistance)
WILL BENEFIT THOSE

HOMELESSNESS:
Restrooms and showers
Food services Those experiencing
Laundry homelessness will feel
NEW SERVICES PROPOSED TO THE SAFE SPACE INCLUDE: more safe and protected
