Sangguniang Panlungsod who are present approved the following City Resolution on second and
final reading:

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAKATI CITY TREASURER

NELIA A. BARLIS TO IMMEDIATELY EFFECT THE TRANSFER
OF COLLECTION OF REAL PROPERTY TAXES AND OTHER
RELATED REVENUES TO THE GENERAL FUNDS OF
BARANGAYS PIO DEL PILAR AND BANGKAL AS A RESULT OF
THE FAVORABLE BOUNDARY ALTERATIONS AMONG
BARANGAYS SAN LORENZO, PIO DEL PILAR AND BANGKAL,
SUBJECT TO ALL LAWS AND EXISTING LEGAL RULES AND
REGULATIONS

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2 of Makati City Ordinance No. 2008-001, enacted February 1,
2008, the Commission on Elections conducted a plebiscite ratifying the alteration boundaries of
Barangays Pio del Pilar, Bangkal and San Lorenzo, all of Makati City;
WHEREAS, the favourable results of the plebiscite conducted for the purpose in favour of
Barangays Pio del Pilar and Bangkal are hereto summarized as follows:

Result of the canvassing of votes from Barangay Pio del Pilar:

1. AFFIRMATIVE VOTES of Three Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety

Seven (3,997) in favor of the transfer of parcels of the territory of
Barangay San Lorenzo to Pio del Pilar.
2. NEGATIVE VOTES of Eighty Three (83) against the transfer of parcels
of the territory of Barangay San Lorenzo to Barangay Pio del Pilar.

Result of the canvassing of votes from Barangay San Lorenzo:

1. AFFIRMATIVE VOTES of Six Hundred Thirty Eight (638) in favour

of the transfer of parcels of the territory of Barangay San Lorenzo to
Barangay Pio del Pilar.
2. NEGATIVE VOTES of Three Hundred Thirty Three (333) against the
transfer of parcels of the territory of Barangay San Lorenzo to Barangay
Pio del Pilar.

Result of the canvassing votes from Barangay Bangkal:

1. AFFIRMATIVE VOTES of Two Thousand Two Hundred Sixty Eight

(2,268) in favor of transfer of parcels of the territory of Barangay San
Lorenzo to Barangay Bangkal.
2. NEGATIVE VOTES of Sixty Nine (69) against the transfer of parcels
of the territory of Barangay San Lorenzo to Barnagay Bangkal.

Result of the canvassing votes from Barangay San Lorenzo:

1. AFFIRMATIVE VOTES of Six Hundred Twenty Nine (629) in favour

of the transfer of parcels of the territory of Barangay San Lorenzo to
Barangay Bangkal.
2. NEGATIVE VOTES of Three Hundred Fifty five (355) against the
transfer of parcels of the territory of Barangay San Lorenzo to Barangay
Bangkal.

WHEREAS, a salient provision of the Local Government Code of 1991 (R.A. 7160), Section 123,
clearly mandates the enforcement of any local proposition fifteen (15) days after the issuance of a
certification by the Commission on Elections on affirmative results of the local proposition;

WHEREAS, the shares from the real property taxes (RPTs) and other related revenues collected
from these parcels which formerly belonged to Barangay San Lorenzo should now be transferred
to the General Funds of Barangays Pio del Pilar and Bangkal, as a matter of right, effective 02
August 2009, fifteen (15) days after the ratification of the plebiscite on the 18th of July 2009;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE
SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD OF MAKATI, METRO MANILA, BY VIRTUE OF THE
POWERS VESTED IN IT BY LAW, IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, to authorize Makati City
Treasurer Nelia A. Barlis to immediately effect the transfer of collection of real property taxes and
other related revenues to the general funds of Barangays Pio Del Pilar and Bangkal as a result of
the favorable boundary alterations among Barangays San Lorenzo, Pio Del Pilar and Bangkal,
subject to all laws and existing legal rules and regulations.

Let copy of this resolution be furnished the City Treasurers Office, City Assessors Office,
Accounting Department, City Budgets Office and other concerned offices for their information,
guidance and reference.

This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its approval.
