Just seen this advertised at hocus pocus (www.hocus-pocus.com) and it sounds really
killer. Only $75, denitely gonna pick this one up!

Anybody got any info on it?

I think the ad pretty well describes it. It's accurate to a T and nothing has been left out. After
Al and I developed this I used it for 6 years as a less complexed way of doing the ULTIMATE
PREDICTION, which required too much advanced preparation to tour with.
 This is not something for every show. This is for the person who wants to garner publicity
using one of the most advanced prediction systems possible. Key boxes, wooden books,
envelopes switches are too well known and the PRESS knows about them.
Having a notarized prediction of headlines in a CLEAR BOX along with two predictions of a
V.I.P.
card and word selected under near impossible conditions is as clean as it gets. NOTHING
2476 Posts to scream trickery or fake. Remember the VIP removes the slips and reads them NOT THE
MAGICIAN. You never touch the box nor the slips during the performance.

Many people will be upset that this is being released at such a low price but it's expensive
enough to keep it out of hands of the curious. This is designed for a working pro and who
knows how to control the spectators on stage. It's as clean as it looks and if done properly
will fool even well informed magicians. There are some ingenious subtlities in this that Al
and I developed. The choice of the card and word appear to an audience to be as random
and clean as you can get. Each time you do this you will get a secret high over what you
just pulled on the audience.

Bold but brilliant as Al used to say about this.

A BONUS effect not mentioned in the ad. For those wanting the REAL work on this type of
things another method will be given that is as close to my 1986 method that I will reveal.
In this method the VIP brings up the sealed glass box and there is only one slip in it. IT HAS
his name written on the outside of the slip (he did this before sealing it in the box) so there
can be no doubt there is no switch involved. He opens the box WHICH NEITHER YOU OR
V.I.P. ANYONE else has touched (even secretly). Removes the slip and veries his signature and

then opens it. YOU DO NOT TOUCH THE SLIP at any time during this. On the slip are 3
notarized headline predictions. With this method the audience doesn't see a card and word
prediction.

You have invited the press and they can come on stage and witness the whole thing and
the VIP who is NOT in on it. Can truthfully state that the signed slip hasn't left his
possession since you gave it to him 2 weeks ago. He will also tell the press that at NO TIME
has anyone else touched the slip since it was given to him and it has never left his sight.

This will play in the fastest company and has baffled some of the most astute reporters in
the country who in VAIN tried to expose and gure it out but everything checked out
including the notary who signed the predictions too.

For those who can pull this off this information will be priceless. This method is so well
thought out it is near impossible for anyone to reconstruct how it was done and expose it. I
pulled this off show after show and NOBODY ever exposed how it was done as the method
is too well concealed if you use the single slip in the box method.

I wasn't going to tip this part off but decided that some working pro may want to do this and
really blow away the press.

Intially Hocus Pocus will have 100 of them available. Can't promise there will be more.
According to Paul presales are going fast so the rst batch may sell out quicker than we
anticipate. We're just waiting on the acrylic boxes to come in and that will about 2 weeks
from now.

I wanted to state so there is no confusion. This trick is a HEADLINE PREDICTION. That is
what it is being sold as. If you are NOT wanting to do a headline prediction the I suggest
you not order this. Some people think they can do the rst part and not nish with the
headline prediction. Such is not the case. If you are hoping to buy this and just do the card
prediction by itself, well that won't work. I can't explain anymore without going into
methods.

If you want to blow away an audience and reporters with an impossible headline prediction
then you will very happy with this. This is designed for someone doing a show in front of
small group or people or a large audience. This is not designed as a one on one trick to
show one person. It is possible to do it for one person but is not as clean as I give you
several methods.

If you are not planning on using this as a headline prediction to be done in front a group of
people then I suggest you pass on this. However those who want to garner publicity for
predicting the future and want to blow away the reporters and press will BE VERY HAPPY
WITH THIS.

First and foremost, THIS IS A HEADLINE PREDICTION. Don't buy it for any other reason.

SOME THOUGHTS on HEADLINE PREDICTIONS
I am getting this question so much in PM that I thought I'd answer it here. I'd like to share
some of the thoughs that Al Mann and myself had on predicting headlines and why the
routine was developed the way it was.

A lot of you are asking can I forgo the two card and word predictions and just do the
Headline Prediction? With the basic routine and handling the answer is no. However in the
Bonus Routine a method is given where there is only one slip in the box and it's the
headlines however this is a more complex handling and is recommended only for pros
working a professional show.

For the most part those doing basic shows, banquets with nd the triple prediction quite
suitable for that type show.
 Here was Al Mann's thinking on the triple prediction and I agree completely.
1-Predicting Headlines is a tough cookie to swallow for some people in the audience. They
don't buy it. Maybe it was lucky guess or you did something sneaky.

2-The two lead up predictions add credibilty. They establish that you can accurately predict
the future. In a very clean manner that appears near impossible
you have predicted a card dealt to in a deck using a number called by a second person.
Odds 1 in 52 you could guess correct. You do. Some may think well maybe this was a card
trick but if it was its was darn good one.

3- You follow up by doing a near impossible appearing book test. A book freely selected by
one spectator he chooses a page at random and give the book to another spectator to think
of one of the words on that page. THAT WORD has also been predicted.

4-Now the audience is impressed. You've proved you ability to predict two weeks ago some
things that just happened on stage and were apparently out of your control. WHAT ELSE
CAN YOU PREDICT?

5-You have now qualied yourself, they may be skeptical but they are starting to become
believers.

6-When the headlines are read they are accepted. By golly you predicted those other things
so if you could do that then YOU MUST HAVE ALSO KNOWN THE FUTURE.

Some of you will get this concept immediately and realize qualication is VITAL in order to
convince the audience the predictions were real and not a trick.

This routine works on the magic of 3...you have 3 predictions, each more amazing than the
other, climaxing with headline predictions. Done this way you have a showpiece and one of
the strongest demonstrations of your abilty to see the future available today.

I just recently bought a book detailing a headline prediction that is very similar to this one. If
the methods are the same then I can say it's very subtle and very ingenious.
Once I read the 2 effects side by side, I am certain they must be the same. But the single
paper prediction still intrigues me.

Am I correct in assuming that Retro Gravity will follow soon since you considered that the
brainchild of you and Al Mann as well??

 Yes IAN, Retro will be released as part of the series. WE have wisely backed off on releasing
Retro due to the recent flood of levitation effects. Some good, some decent, and others
horrible. We want to let the other levy effects die down then this will come out. The book is
ready to release but is being held back till the right time. People have tried to duplicate what
they thought we had but so far all the releases are way off from the Retro secret. For now
V.I.P.
we have decided not to talk about it or tease people about the release but it is part of the
2476 Posts series.
BTW ther are 20 releases in this upcoming series and will be released over 3 year period.

Most of them are Mann/Knight completations.

Glass Box is shipping this week to Hocus Pocus right on schedule. The boxes came in from
the manufactor and I am currently boxing them up for shipping the HP. This has been a long
awaited release and is nally shipping.

BTW Glass Box is #1 in the Knight Mind Series.

We are currently assembling the props for release #2 IN THE NEWS which is quad-
prediction effect that has been used in my touring shows. A very visual mental effect but
the description will be withheld till it comes out later this month.
Murphy's will be the exclusive distributor of the smaller version and LARGE SUPER DELUXE
version of only which 12 will be made will be another Hocus Pocus Exclusive.

Release #3 scheduled for sometime in June is a book many people have begged me to

I like what you say in your tag. Who cares what the method is. That was the whole premise
behind PUBLICITY HOAXES. If it got you national fame it didn't matter what the method was
no matter how outlandish. Of course there is a price to pay in the end and the book will
explain that. I had to pay it and it's a bitter pill to swallow but I don't regret it. To me the
V.I.P. years of national publicity was worth the nal price. But each mentalist will have to decide

that for themselves if they are willing to pay the price to duplicate and achieve the things
described in Publicity Hoaxes. This material isn't for everyone but to others it will open
doors you never thought possible.

Not for the effects per se, but the history and thinking behind them.

In the News is a sort of Coppereld Grafti or Dream Vision effect. Where the audience
freely selects a Newspaper from Several and things are marked on it in chosen colors. In a
nutshell a duplicate of the chosen newpaper, including the page they wanted marked the
same way with the chosen colors is found in an envelope that has been in full view before
the show. In fact with the small version to be released by Murphy's the envelope is held by
V.I.P. someone before the choices are even made and THEY not the magician opens the envelope

NEW TECHNIQUE included with Release. I just wanted to say at the last minute a new
technique I recently developed has been included with the Glass Box Kit.

This is what I call MISS and HIT. What happpens is that your NOTARIZED headline
predictions are opened at the show say on Wed night. The VIP reads them and 2 are direct
hits and are stories in that day's news. However the 3rd is totally off! It is a complete miss
and the wrong prediction is read out loud to the audience. You shrug your shoulders and
say well predicting the future isn't an exact science.
 The reporter will be ready to report the next day in the newspaper your two hits and one
failure.

HOWEVER, the next day the headlines in the newspaper are exactly what you predicted and
missed on. Yet the next day your third prediction is a complete HIT!
The reporter will not know till the next day when he goes to the ofce and sees the latest
news that you were correct. The audience when they go home will be very amazed when
they see what was read aloud to them the night before suddenly become the front page
news of that day. You were a day off...having heard it read the day before it began news and
the fact the paper was NOTARIZED two weeks earlier will make even the most skeptical
wonder if you are for real. Obviously there could have been no switch as the thing you
predicted hadn't even happened yet.

This is a real reputation maker and to many will be worth the price of the whole manuscript.
I was tempted not to release this technique as I think it is that good but at the last moment
decided to throw it in as a bonus.
