anybody absent?

Very Good! It is nice to hear that you

are all present.
But before we proceed, who can still
remember our classroom rules?
Yes, Nieva Jean. Our agreed classroom rules are:
1. Listen if there is somebody talking in
front.
2. Raise your right hand if you want to
answer and wait to be recognized.
3. Participate actively in all activities.
Thank you,Nieva Jean.
Class is it clear? Yes, Teacher!

iv. Review
Everybody, can you still remember
our lesson last time? Yeas, Teacher!
What was our lesson last time?
Yes, Leniza. Our lesson last time was all about
Microscopy, the parts of the
microscope.
Very Good. So, what are the parts of
microscope?
Yes, Jess Mae. Stage, arm, eyepiece, condenser, and
objective lenses.
Good. Anybody, what are the other
parts of microscope theres a lot parts
of microscope?
Yes, Grace. Scanner, mirror, iris diaphragm, and
nosepiece.
Very Good. Those are all parts of the
microscope.
Theres any clarification if none lets
now proceed to our new topic for today.

v. Motivation
But before that, I have here a different
picture.
(show picture)
Class, what can you observes about
this picture?
Yes, Archen.
Theres a dot in the center
Good. What about this picture?
Yes, Melisa.
The dot was on the side not in the
center, and theres a lot of lines like and

pictures what can you say?
Yes, Blessie Mae.
They have different shape and also
Very Good. All of your answer is they have the same parts.
correct.
Now, let us proceed to our new topic
but before anything else let us first read
our objectives.
Everybody.
At the end of 45 minutes period the
students are able to:
1. Identify parts of the cell;
2. Describe animal and plant cell; and
3. Construct a Venn diagram that
shows the similarities and differences
of the animal and plant cell.
IV. Lesson Proper
i. Discussion
Our topic for today is all about animal
and plant cell.
First of all what comes in your mind if
you hear the word cell?
Good. Thank you for your idea. (student answered)

All organisms, small or big consist of

cells. Some organisms are single-
celled composed of only one cell.
Others are multicellular, possessing
many cell that work together to form an
organisms.
All cell has basic parts;
Do you have any idea what are the
parts of the cell? (students are raising their hands)
Yes, Mia.
(Mia, answered)
Thank you for your idea, Mia.
The basic parts of the cell are the
nucleus, plasma membrane, and the
cytoplasm.

And now who has any idea about was

is nucleus?
Yes, Julius.
(Julius, share ideas)
Nucleus is the part of the cells which is
easily seen. It is very important
because it controls all the activities of
the other parts that occur in the cell.

Plasma membrane encloses the cell

and separates was is inside and form
its environment.

Cytoplasm consist of a jelly-like

substance that where all the other parts
of the cells are located.
Next part is the cell wall . Do you have
any idea?
Yes, Roselyn.
(Roselyn share her idea)
Cell wall is made up of the stiff
materials that forms the outermost part
of the plant cell.
Chloroplast is important in plant cell
because it is where the food is made.

Vacuoles are present in both animal

and plant cell.
In plant cell all they are large and
usually occupy more than half of the
cell space. In animal cell are small and
are called vesicles.
Centrioles are only found in animal
cell, they have a role in cell
reproduction.

ii. Drills/Activities
And now, we are done with our
discussion. For your group activity you
are be group into two groups. I have
here an instruction about your specific
tasks. Read it properly and select a
representative to explain it. And I will
give you 5 minutes. to do that.
Understood?
(After 5 minutes.) Finished or Yes, Teacher.
unfinished post your work.

Group 1, you will be the first group to

present. (Group 1,explain their task)
(Draw the animal cell label its parts and
explain)
Very good Group 1. Lets give them a
wow clap.
(students perform wow clap)
Group 2, present your work.
(Group 2, explain their tasks)
(Draw the plant cell , label its part and
Very good. Lets give them a shake explain)
clap.
(students perform shake clap)
Very good class. Thank you for your
cooperation.

V. Application
Make a Venn diagram showing the
differences and similarities of animal
and plant cell. Each group much
selects a representative to explain their
work. I will give you 5 minutes to do
that.
Is it clear?
(After 5 minutes) Yes, Teacher.

Time is up. Post your work.

Group 1. Explain it.
(The selected representative of group 1
explain their work)
Very good. Lets proceed to group 2.
(The selected representative of group 2
explain their work)
Very good class, lets give ourselves a
round of applause.

i. Generalization
What you have learned from our topic
today?
Yes, Ronald
We learned the parts of the animal and
plant cell.
What are the parts of the cell?
Yes, Angelica.
The parts of the cells are nucleus,
plasma membrane, cytoplasm,
chloroplast, vacuoles, and cell wall.
What are the similarities and
differences of animal and plant cell?
Yes, Mary Joy.
They both have nucleus, vacuoles,
plasma membrane. But plant cell have
cell wall while the animal cell have no
cell wall.
Very well said.

VI. Evaluation.
Direction: Get sheet of paper.
TRUE OR FALSE. Write your surname
if the statement is true and write your
teachers name if the statement is false.

1. Vacuoles are present in both animal

and plant cells.
2. Animal and plant cell both have cell
wall.
3. Chloroplasts consists of jelly-like
substances where all the other parts of
the cell are located.
4. Nucleus is very important because it
controls all the activities of the other
parts of the cell.
5. Centrioles are only in animal cell.

Assignment:
Research and advance study . What
are the organisms that consist of only
one cell.

. Okay class dismissed!
