MIT202 Mini Case Study (to be presented during the reporting depending on what topic you

are assigned with)

CASH DEPOSIT - TELLER

1. Fill out the Peso Cash Deposit Slip. Indicate the Date, Account Number, Account Name,
and your Cash Payment details.
2. Submit the cash deposit slip and the exact top up amount to the teller for processing.
3. Get your machine-validated receipt. Take note of the branch code, date, time, and amount
deposited.

CASH DEPOSIT WITH AN ENVELOPE ATM

1. Verify that the ATM accepts deposits placed in an envelope.

Smaller ATMs and those at non-bank locations such as convenience stores or restaurants
may not have this function. If it does not have a marked slot for dispensing and/or accepting
envelopes, it does not accept envelope deposits.

2. Insert your ATM card and enter your PIN number.

This part of the process is exactly the same as when you withdraw cash.
Locate the deposit tab on the screen or corresponding button indicated by the screen. If
there is no deposit option, youre out of luck on this ATM.

3. Prepare a deposit slip.

a) If you are using a blank deposit slip, like those available in a bank branch, fill out your
name, address, and account number. Add the date to any type of deposit slip.
b) Enter the total amount of cash to be deposited.
c) You dont need to sign a deposit slip when depositing funds into an ATM. A signature is
only required when you seek cash back from a deposit made at a teller window.

4. Use the deposit envelope provided by the ATM. Older machines may have a small door
that you lift open to reveal deposit envelopes, while newer machines may just discharge them
out of a slot.
Make sure you insert all your cash and the deposit slip into the envelope. Seal it securely.
Write in any information, such as name, date, and the deposit amount, requested on the
outside of the envelope.

5. Wait for your deposits to clear. Deposits of cash or check by envelope are manually
counted and entered into your account, so funds will not be available immediately.
A common wait time for fund availability from an ATM deposit is the second business
day after the deposit. That is, if you deposit the funds on Monday, they will be available
Wednesday. But, if you deposit them Sunday (not a business day), it will also be
Wednesday. Banks are required to consider ATM deposits made by noon to be made that
business day.
CASH DEPOSIT WITHOUT AN ENVELOPE ATM

1. Verify that the ATM accepts no-envelope deposits. This is increasingly becoming the
standard in ATMs at bank branches, and it is becoming more common in other locations.
Look for notices on the screen or on the machine itself.
No-envelope ATMs usually have clearly-marked.
Insert your card, enter your PIN, and follow the prompts to make a deposit. The ATM
will verify at some point whether you can make no-envelope deposits.

2. Deposit cash into the slot according to the ATMs limit. One common maximum for a
stack of cash is 50 bills.
Again, the machine should be able to read cash in any direction, but a neat stack can only
speed the process.
If you have another deposit transactions, indicate youd like to make another transaction
when prompted on the screen, then deposit the other.

WITHDRAW CASH ATM

1. Insert your ATM card face up into the ATM. Look for a diagram on the ATM to show
you how to insert your card. The machine will not accept your card or will send it back
out if you insert it the wrong way. Then you will know the correct direction to insert it.

2. Select your language. You will usually be offered a choice of English or Tagalog.

3. Enter your Personal Identification Number (PIN). If you forgot it, you will have to
call your bank. Otherwise, touch or press Enter or Go.

4. Touch or press Withdraw from the main menu. The ATM will ask you if you want to
withdraw from your checking or savings account. Some ATMs will offer preset amounts
called "Fast Cash" where you can select 1000, 2000, 3000, etc.

5. Enter the amount of money you wish to withdraw. For example, if you want to
withdraw 3,000 you would type 3000 and press or touch ENTER or Confirm.

6. Wait while the machine processes your transaction. The cash will come out of a slot
usually located in the lower left hand corner of the ATM. If you do not have enough
money in your account there will be a message stating this on the screen.

7. Press or touch Yes to accept the processing fee if the ATM is not in your bank's
network.

8. Press or touch Yes or No for a receipt or no receipt.

9. Take your cash and receipt. Always count your cash to make sure you received the
correct amount. If it is incorrect you will have to go into the bank during regular business
hours to correct the problem.

10. Decide whether you would like to make another transaction. This is a good
opportunity to check balances, make transfers between checking and savings accounts or
to make a deposit if your ATM offers these features. Touch or press Yes or No when the
screen asks if you want to make another transaction.

11. Take your card and walk away with your cash.

WITHDRAW CASH TELLER

1. Fill out a withdrawal slip indicating the amount you would like to withdrawal from your
savings account.
2. The teller will ask you to show some photo identification.
3. Upon approval of proof, the teller will process your transaction.
4. You will receive the money and a copy of the withdrawal slip.
