Manufacturing a Sterling Cutter
(Guide:Prof. Rajiv Shekhar , 3rd Semester)
Objective :A Vegetable Cutter based on pressure difference used in Sterling Engine.
Pistons were used for creation of pressure difference generated either manually or using motor of
appropriate power.
The pressure difference was used to press the cutter blade on the vegetable and produce slices.
Manufacturing a Mechanical Counter
(Guide: Prof. Sounak Choudhary , 4th Semester)
Manufactured a counter that can count up to 999 digits and can be calibrated to measure the length of
ropes and can also be used as an odometer.

RESEARCH PROJECT AND INTERNSHIP (Completed and Undergoing)

Internship under Space and Technology Cell(STC), IIT Kanpur
(Guide:Prof. Bishakh Bhattacharya , 19th May, 2017 - 15th July, 2017 )
Objective :Designing of Active Flexible and Reconfigurable Parabolic Antenna using SMA based Smart
Actuators, ISRO-STC.
Designed a Parabolic Antenna which can be steered and shaped to an extent with the help of Shape
Memory Alloy(SMA) wires and springs for more focused and exact reflection used in antenna reflec-
tion systems by Space Application Centre(SAC), ISRO.
Designed and self-fabricated a new and unique locking mechanism which uses optimum power for
locking and unlocking, used for steering and shaping purposes in the antenna.
Research Exposure
(Guide: Prof. Bishakh Bhattacharya and PhD Scholar Mr. Sahil Kalra, 19th May, 2017 - till date)
Working on the analytic solution to the deflection in a parabolic antenna under concentrated load(Bending
and Buckling both considered).
Solutions are matched with results of the computer run simulations for validation of the process.

Undergoing Project

Self Fabricating the design of the Antenna model which has been accepted for further phases of the
program. Post Fabrication testing of the Antenna so as to make it functional under Space conditions.
