Evidence: The time is now

This evidence is divided into two parts: A composition and an audio file. Read the
instructions below and make sure you complete both tasks.

A. Answer the questions below. Use the examples as models of the grammar and
vocabulary you have to use.

1. Why didnt you study English before? (List at least 5 reasons in a

composition.)

Example:

One of the reasons why I didnt study English before it is because I thought it
was too difficult. I didnt understand my English teacher at school and that
was frustrating.
 One of the reasons I did not study English before because I thought it
was not important in my life.

The next reason was because I looked super dicil, I did not understand
anything I saw in school.

My teacher from the school was very confused and did not have the
patience to explain the topics well.

The fourth reason was singing in English and I never learned the song
and made fun of it was frustrating for me.

And the last reason I did not study English before was because I had
very little time between work and things in the home would not allow me
to take an hour to study.

2. How different would things be if you had learned English before? (Name and
explain at least 5 things.)

Example:

If I had learned English some years ago I would have accepted a job a
multinational company offered me five years ago. One of the requirements
was to speak English and my level back then was very low.

If someone learned English a few years ago, I did well in the tests and I won a
scholarship.

If someone studied English before, I believe that there is no loss of one year of
school and that he failed the year because in all periods he lost that subject.

If I was studied English before I left a foreigner living because I left the
opportunity to travel but my English was very basic and it was not possible.

If I was already studying English before I was already certified by the Sena
since if I do not have my virtual courses I do not graduate.

If I was already studying English before today I could be working in a school

with a good salary but I was rejected for not having advanced English.
B. Record an audio file of yourself answering the following questions. Use the
examples as models of the grammar and vocabulary you have to use.

1. Why are you studying English? (List and explain at least 4 reasons.)

Example:

Im studying English because I finally decided that if I want to improve my

professional profile becoming bilingual is essential.

2. In what ways are you going to benefit from this learning?

Example:

Being competent in English is going to increase the opportunities of landing a more

satisfying and better-paid job. We live in an international open market and English
is the most important language.
