Walkthrough (Follow directions to win):

Professor Oaks Lab- Start

o Catch any of the three starting pokemon for the purposes of this walkthrough we will
catch charmander
o Activate your first pokemon so you can use him to fight
o Fight Garys Ivysaur you will win no trouble
o Take all of the pokeballs and potions in the room
o Catch ivysaur to exit room and go north to route 21
Route 21
o Get the potion
o Ignore the wild pokemon (wild pokemon can be helpful but the required pokemon to
capture will be adequate)
o go north to viridian city
Viridian City
o Get all the pokeballs
o Heal your charmander and ivysaur
o Drop all potions to enter gym and go east to brocks gym
Brocks Gym
o Always get the rare candy first upon entering a gym
o level up charmander
o With charmander activated fight brocks onix
o When charmanders hp is equal or below onixs attack damage switch pokemon and
activate ivysaur
o Fight onix and finish him off
o Catch brocks onix
o Get hm-cut (to enter the forest later)
o Go west back to Viridian City

o Get all your potions
o Heal your charmander, ivysaur, and onix
o Reactivate charmander for he is has the best stats
o Go north to forest

 o Fight trainerbobs butterfree and catch him
o Ignore wild Pikachu
o Go west to Vermilion City

o Take all the pokeballs
o Heal charmander
o Drop all potions and go north to Mistys Gym
Mistys Gym
o Get rare candy and level up charmander again
o Get hm-flash (to get into diglett cave)
o Fight mistys staryu with activated charmander
o Catch mistys staryu and go back south to vermilion city
Vermilion City
o Take all the potions
o Heal charmander and staryu
o Go south to digletts cave
Digletts Cave
o Get rare candy and level up charmander again
o Fight Rockclimbertims Geodude and catch him
o Ignore wild Diglett and go south to Cerulean City
Cerulean City
o Heal charmander
o Get all the pokeballs
o Drop potions and go south to Lt. Surges Gym
Lt. Surges Gym
o Get rare candy and level up staryu
o Get snorlax-flute (to wake snorlax who blocks the way to ghost tower)
o Fight Lt.Surges voltorb first with charmander who should be activated
o Fight Lt.Surges raichu. You will have to switch from using charmander to staryu
when charmanders hp is lower or equal to raichus attack damage
o Use staryu to finish off raichu and catch both fainted pokemon
o Go north back to Cerulean City
Cerulean City
o Get all potions
o Heal staryu, charmander, voltorb and raichu
o Go west to Ghost tower
Ghost Tower
o Get rare candy and level up raichu (higher attack damage than voltorb)
o Get potion and pokeball
o Get Hm-surf (to access ocean and river)
o Ignore Wild Gengar
o Use charmander (or any other level stats pokemon really) to defeat psychicrobs abra
and catch it
o Go east back to cerulean city, north to diglett cave, then west to Ocean

o Get potion and pokeball
o Ignore wild magikarp
o Fight fishermans gyarados and catch it with charmander easily
o Heal charmander
 o Go north to Saffron City
Saffron City
o Get pokeballs
o Go north to Erikas Gym
Erikas Gym
o Get rare candy and level up voltorb
o Defeat all three of Erikas pokemon and catch them
Use charmander, staryu, voltorb, raichu and onix switching them off, as
necessary, to slowly defeat them all
o Get SS-ticket (to enter SS Cruise)
o Go south back to Saffron city
Saffron City
o Get all of the potions
o Heal charmander, staryu, raichu, voltorb, venusuar, victreebel, and vileplume
o Go south to ocean and west to SS Cruise Ship
SS Cruise Ship
o Get rare candy and level up voltorb
o Get potion and hm-strength
o Activate voltorb to fight sailor tims goldeen and catch it
o Go east to ocean, north to saffron city, then west to river
River
o Get all the potions and pokeballs
o Fight fishermans psyduck and catch it with voltorb
o Heal voltorb
o Go north to seafoam islands
Seafoam Islands
o Get potions and pokeballs
o Get rare candy and level up staryu
o Fight mewtwo. Use a combination of switching pokemon and potions to defeat it
slowly and catch it (example: Charmander then Staryu (heal twice) then use raichu to
finish him)
o Go north to Celadon City
Celadon City
o Get all pokeballs and potions
o Heal as many pokemon as possible with all your potions from best stats to worst
o Drop all potions and go north to the Elite Four Gym
Elite Four
o If you have followed the walkthrough you should be able to beat the Elite Four Gym
no problem
o Start attacking with Mewtwo (Awesome Stats) then use the rest like charmander,
staryu, raichu, voltorb, venusuar, victreebel, and vileplume etc.
o Catch all four of the Elite fours pokemon and proceed north to victory road

o CONGRATS! YOU HAVE WON AND DEFEATED THE ELITE FOUR
o YOU ARE A POKEMASTER
o You can take all the potions and pokeballs and make your way around the map
catching all of the remaining pokemon Have fun!
