About the role

Reporting to CEO, a spatial designer has to combine architectural knowledge, project management and
creative design skills and be responsible for designing spaces at trade shows, on design sets, or at facilities
like corporate offices, retail stores. Your design must:
have aesthetic appeal;
be practical;
communicate the client's message, concept and image to visitors;
meet the limitations imposed by space and budget.

Key responsibilities:
Develop initial ideas and acquire key information about potential projects, discuss requirements in
detail with clients (the brief) and set project schedules;
Understand clients' needs and space to develop design concepts and establish final briefs;
Research and gather information and photographs relating to the project;
Conceptualize a design based on theme and customized to client requirement
Creating initial design sketches and computer-generated three-dimensional visuals, sometimes
building models and prototypes;
Produce 'sample' or 'mood' boards to present to clients;

 Overseeing design changes and improvements throughout the development process
Integrating technical and visual solutions into a design concept
Prepare detailed working drawings, designs, plans, models and schemes, often using computer-aided
design (CAD) software;
Understand materials and costs according to set budgets
Conduct feasibility studies for projects;
Work in a team with other designers;
Supervise work at the design stage and on-site;
Identify new business and sell services to potential clients;
Work closely with quantity surveyors to establish costs and work schedules on larger projects, with
architects and other design professionals to determine the best use of space, and with manufacturers and
contractors;

Skills
The skill needed to successfully perform the role include:

A high level of technical knowledge, including CAD and model-making skills;

Good drawing skills, including perspective drawing and spatial awareness;
Creativity and imagination;
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
An awareness of building and safety regulations;
Project management skills, including the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines;

About the candidate

You must have 6-9 plus years of experience in a similar area or work.
You will need a relevant degree preferably in any of these subjects-
o Architecture;
o Interior and spatial design;
o Fine art;
o Graphic design;
