SIP Report

INSTRUCTIONS

Students are required to complete upto nine weeks summer internship and should have the letter
from the organization.

Students are required to submit this SIP report individually.

SIP report due date is 10th Aug 2017. Hardcopy of the SIP report must be submitted and the soft
copy to be emailed. Late submission will be penalized

The SIP should be typed in Times New Roman with font size 12 and 1.5 line spaced.

Plagiarism is a serious form of cheating and plagiarized assignments will be penalized.

Any resources (textbooks, journal articles etc.) used must be acknowledged using Harvard
Referencing System.

Please ensure that the report should be of minimum 30 pages and should not include any
unnecessary information.

1. ORGANISATION OF PROJECT REPORT


It is strongly recommended that you follow these guidelines. The final report should be presented in the
following sequence:

Students Declaration (Annexure-I)
Supervisors Certificate (Annexure-II)
Abstract
Acknowledgements
Table of Contents:
List of Tables
List of figures
List of Appendices
Chapter 1. Introduction: This chapter includes the research problem, need for
study/significance of the project, objectives, hypotheses, methodology scope, sample design,
sources of information, tools and techniques of analysis, structure of the study with sound
justifications/explanations.
Chapter 2. Literature Review (IF APPLICABLE): This chapter should reflect the students
understanding of the relevant theoretical and empirical background of the problem. Focus
should be more on the logical presentation of the empirical evolution of conceptual and
methodological issues pertaining to research problem. Also highlight the methodological clues
drawn through this review for your project.
Chapter 3. The company/Organisation/System: This chapter should contain a brief historical
retrospect about the entity of your study.
Chapter 4 & 5: Present your data analysis and inferences
Chapter 6. Summary and Conclusions: Gives an overview of the project, conclusions,
implications and recommendations. Also specify the limitations of your study. You may indicate
the scope for further research.
Reference: List the books, articles, websites that are referred and useful for research on the topic
of your specific project. Follow Harvard style of referencing.
