PORTRAIT DRAWING with TODD BAXTER

Saturday September 16, 2017 Time: 9 am to 4 pm
Cost: $50 for SASi members and $55 for non-members
Ages: 14 years & up Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate.
Learn how to create a good solid drawing by focusing on accurate proportions, capturing those
important shadow shapes and honing your rendering skills. See SASi for supply list.

SCRATCHBOARD with LORI McADAMS

Saturday October 14, 2017 Time: 9 am to 12:30 pm
Cost: $40 for SASi members and $45 for non-members
Ages: 18 years & up Skill Level: Beginner
ALL MATERIALS PROVIDED - Each student will receive 2 small scratchboards to keep after the class. Tools, ink,
and brushes will be provided for their use during class.
This introduction to Scratchboard will provide an overview of the medium, its tools, and a few supplemental
tools and techniques. Students will begin (possibly complete) two scratchboard drawings using two basic methods:
1. Create a vignette drawing using a black silhouette on white ground, and 2. Create a drawing using white lines
on a completely black background.
