Freo Street Doctor is a mobile medical
health service that provides a visible,
culturally appropriate, easily accessible
and non judgemental primary health care
service for people who are marginalised or
disadvantaged in our community.
The clinics are held at various locations
and aim to care for those members of our
community who for any reason may not
access mainstream general practice. The
Freo Street Doctor team is staffed by General
Practitioners, Nurses and Outreach Workers.
Consulting Times
Patients are generally seen rst come rst
served. On average the GP / Registered Nurse
consultations last a length of 20-30 minutes each.
No appointment is necessary.

General health Wound dressing

Pap smears Nutritional advice
STI / pregnancy tests Diabetes education
Alcohol and drug
related assistance
Freo Street Doctor does not supply narcotics or
benzos and does not operate a needle exchange.
Billing Arrangements
This is a free service. All consultations and
procedures are bulk billed at no cost to the
patient. A Medicare card is required.
Patients may be referred to other services as
required. The doctor on duty will advise for
follow-up consultations.
Reminder System
Freo Street Doctor is committed to preventative
care. The duty doctor will seek your permission
for you to be included on our reminder system. We
may issue you with a reminder notice from time
to time oering you preventative health services
appropriate to your care. If you do not wish to be
part of this system please advise the clinical sta.
Your Rights
We take your concerns, suggestions and
complaints seriously. If you have a problem we
would like to hear about it. Please feel free to
contact the Manager on 9432 0480 and your
complaint will be treated in condence.
