Revision Philosophy
All revisions for review will be issued at R01, with subsequent R02, R03, etc as required.
All revisions approved for issue or design will be issued at A01, with subsequent A02, A03, etc as
required.
Documents approved for Construction will be issued at C01, C02 , and C03 respectively.
Documents or drawings revised as As built will be issued as Z01, Z02 Z03 etc.
Narrative sections revised from previous approved issues are to be noted in the table below
and/or highlighted in the RH margin (using the appropriate revision status) thus: | A02
Previous revision highlighting to be removed at subsequent issues.
Drawings/diagrams revised from previous approved issues are highlighted by 'clouding' the
affected areas and by the use of a triangle containing the revision status.

Revision guidance
Drafts or issues for comment and review should be numbered with the prefix R e.g. R01,
R02 etc. This applies to all internal and external revisions till the document is approved.
Approved issues should be numbered A01, A02 etc.
When revising an existing document, e.g. A03, the revision is circulated as a draft
version, marked in the status box on the document A03.1 (etc) draft issued for comment
and review until approved at revision A04.
During the revision phase for detailed design, the document should follow the revision
numbers of A01.1, A01.2etc until it is approved for construction as C01.
For as-built drawings, whenever a new project starts and as-built drawings are being
used, the drawings will have the same revisions as new ones, starting from R01, R02, etc.
but bearing the new project name. In case an as-built drawing for the same project is
being circulated for modifications, it will follow the revision sequence as for approved
documents i.e. Z01.1, Z01.2, etc, until it is approved and revised to Z02, etc.
Any variation to the declared revision status indicated shall be fully justified and
documented.
6.3.3 Shapes
The standard AutoCAD *.SHP files shall be used without deletion of items.
Additional shape patterns may be added, with prior permission of the appropriate SFO, in
which case the copy of the updated *.SHP file shall accompany the master drawing file.
6.3.4. Scale
All details and layouts shall be drawn at 1:1 scale using model space mode.
Scale reference on the drawing shall be indicated by a scale bar only.
Two acceptable methods can be used for sizing the border:
1) Using model space only, the border is scaled at the reverse size that the drawing
is required to be plotted. i.e. Scale the border by x200 to fit the detail/layout and
then plot the drawing at 1:200.
2) Using Paper space and model space methods. Paper space should be used for
drawing border and title block information text (and text notes if desired) and
model space for the drawing details.
Other types of drawings such as PFS, Single line diagrams etc do not require any
particular scaling. The finished drawing shall be on the smallest size drawing that is
clearly legible.
6.3.5 Text
Text style shall be the Standard TXT for all items. The size shall be appropriate for the
drawing size and shall be uniform through out the drawing
The text size of the Heading and the Title of Standard Border may change depending on
the length of their text.
Standard border contains text font style (Roman Simplex) the standard border can be
obtained from the Co-ordinator of SFO Drawing Office.
6.3.6 Dimensions
All dimensions shall be in millimetres
o DIMASO = ON
o DIMTXT TO MATCH DTEXT SIZE (depends on detail size)
o DIMASZ = DIMTXT
o DIMEXE = DIMTXT/2
o DIMEXO = DIMEXE
o DIMTIH = OFF
