TEPC Trainee Application Form

Applicant must be an ESA Active/Trainee Member.
Applicant must be no less than 3rd year Trainee till no more than 3rd year Specialist actively working
in Europe.
Applicant must send the application form no later than 1 September of the preceding year (the year before
the fellowship).
All questions must be answered and requested attachments sent together with the application
form. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed by the selection committee and will be
rejected.
Applicants will be advised of the outcome of their application no later than 1 November.
Selected applicants will be required to write an article for the ESA eNewsletter describing their experience
upon completion of the training period, within 1 month after finishing the training.

During my work at anesthesiology departments in Bosnia and Herzegovina I had a chance to be involved
in a broad aspect of anesthesiology procedures. Since the first days I was encouraged to independent work
by the more experienced co-workers. Therefore I believe that although I am still young anesthesiologist I
do possess enough experience in general anesthesia and intensive care unit which will allow me to rapidly
become a member of a new team.
Beside my residency I am working as a Teaching assistant (Emergency Medicine) at Pharmaceutical-
Health Faculty in Travnik. I truly enjoy teaching and I am hoping that in the future I will have more
opportunities to share my knowledge and experience with the students and young residents.
In May, 2015 I was one of the organizers of the ,,3rd Anesthetist Congress in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the Ultrasound guided peripheral nerve blockade courses in Nis (Serbia) and
Tuzla (Bosnia and Herzegovina) I had a chance to learn a lot about regional anesthesia. It is my aim in the
following years to expand the use of this type of anesthesia in a daily routine at my institution.
Unfortunately at my institution this type of safer and cheaper procedure is not commonly used because of
insufficient experience and knowledge about it.
I am absolutely convinced that education in one of the host Centers will provide me enough knowledge
and practice that will allow me to adequately perform regional anesthesia at my institution.
