PRODUCTION/OPERATION PROCESS
STEP BY STEP PROCEDURE
Put the shredded papers into the
Step 1 pulping machine that will be
used. In Tile Me Ups case, they
will be using washing machine to
pulp the papers. Add water. Make sure that the
amount of water is more than the amount of paper.

After pulping the paper, use a net

Step 2 bag or any kind of cloth to collect
the paper pulp from the washing
machine and be filtered of water.

Put the net bag inside the spinner

Step 3 of the washing machine to
remove the excess water from the
paper pulp. The paper pulp must
not be completely free from water. It is enough
that it contains 10% of water.

After filtering the paper pulp of

Step 4 water, mix it with PVA glue using
the mixer machine. The amount of
glue will depend on the amount of
paper pulp. It is estimated that in every 2 kilos of
paper pulp, 125ml of glue is to be mixed.
 After mixing the glue and paper
Step 5
pulp, the next process is molding.
Put the mixture into a mold
(amount of mixture depends on
the shape and size of the mold).

Make sure that the mixture holds

Step 6 together and that there are no
spaces at the bottom by pounding
on it. A flat plywood may also be
used to press it and ensure that the mixture is
evenly distributed within the mold.

Press the mold using the lid as

Step 7 hard as possible to make the
mixture compact. In Tile Me Up
Companys case, they will be
using a hydraulic press to make the tiles more
compact and evenly flat, and to increase the speed
of production.

Let the tiles dry. Tile Me Up

Step 8 Company will use a machine to
dry the tiles quickly.
