 Guitar Licks Series
Welcome to the series Guitar Licks. This series is broken up into sections based on
different types of licks. Section 1 contains basic licks from the A Minor Pentatonic scale or
A Minor Blues scale. Section 2 contains double stop licks from the A Minor Pentatonic
scale or A Minor Blues scale and so on.

Most of the sections will contain approximately 7 lessons broken up as follows:

Lesson 1 - three licks from pattern 1 of the scale
Lesson 2 - three licks from pattern 2 of the scale
Lesson 3 - three licks from pattern 3 of the scale
Lesson 4 - three licks from pattern 4 of the scale
Lesson 5 - three licks from pattern 5 of the scale
Lesson 6 - three licks from the open position of the scale
Lesson 7 - three licks that span multiple patterns

Note: some sections will follow a different format from above

The point is to learn these licks and start connecting them together. This will allow you to
start soloing up and down your fretboard over the provided backing track. Once you can
comfortably do that, start changing up the licks and making them your own; change up
the rhythms, play a fragment of one lick and combine it with a fragment of another lick
and so on. This will allow you to create your own unique sound.

All of these licks are meant for Intermediate level players. If youre a beginner, check out
our lesson How To Solo - 3 Tips For Beginners. This lesson includes a PDF download
which includes beginner level licks. Once you learn the beginner level licks you can come
back to this series and learn these licks.
