Teaching Strategies:
Environmental Cues: I will place all my materials on the table,
with 8 chairs around it. Once the children see it, they will become curious and come over to see what Im doing. Having 8 chairs around the table will let the children know there are only 8 at a time, and if there are no more chairs they need to wait their turn in order to participate.
Questions: I will ask basic questions throughout the experience. For
example: what is this food called? Is it healthy or unhealthy? Do you think this is a nutritious snack to bring into school for snack time? These questions will encourage reflection and conversation throughout the experience.
