This study compared patients with schizophrenia with and without social phobia. It found that patients with comorbid social phobia had significantly worse symptoms, quality of life, hope, and personality traits. Specifically, they had lower scores on measures of psychopathology, clinical global impressions, depression, anxiety, social anxiety, and quality of life. They also experienced lower levels of hope and higher levels of self-stigma. Additionally, patients with social phobia showed increased harm avoidance and decreased self-directedness on a personality assessment.

1. Populasi: Pasien yang hadir di poli rawat jalan klinik psikiatrik Olomouc, Czech Republik. Kuisioner diberikan kepada 70 orang pasien rawat jalan dengan penyakit Skizofrenia. 2. Intervensi: - 3. Comparation: penelitian ini membandingkan antara kelompok yang memiliki tingkat kesakitan sosial fobia dengan kelompok yang tidak memiliki tingkat kesakitan sosial fobia pada pasien dengan penyakit skizofrenia, gangguan skizoafektif, atau delusi yang termasuk dalam kriteria International Classification of Diseases 10th Revision (ICD-10). 4. Outcome: a. Pasien dengan tingkat kesakitan sosial fobia menunjukkan penurunan onset penyakitnya secara signifikan dibanding pasien tanpa tingkat kesakitan sosial fobia (score of PANSS, objCGI-S, BDI-II, BAI, LSAS, dan Q-LES-Q unpaired t-test: t=4.863, df= 58; P<0,0001). b. Pasien dengan sosial fobia lebih mengalami penurunan pada level of hope (ADHS unpaired t-test: t=2.710, df= 57; P<0,01) dan merasa meningkat self-stigma dirinya (ISMI unpaired t-test: t=4.251, df= 59; P<0,0001). c. Pasien dengan tingkat kesakitan sosial fobia menunjukkan peningkatan harm avoidance (HA) dan penurunan self-directedness (SD) dengan TCI-R P<0,001.
