The purpose of this game is to orient new hires to what an electric cooperative is and what it means to work for one. Participants will learn about
the history of electric cooperatives as well as the electrification of rural America. They will learn the basics of power generation, transmission,
and distribution.
There are five levels within this game. As the participant progresses, they will collect volts. Once they have enough volts to advance to the next
level, they will receive a badge and begin working on the next achievement. As they progress, they will level up to the next position on the pole.
The five levels within this game are: Apprentice Lineman, Lineman, Foreman, Operating Superintendent, and District Manager. The goal is the
restore the power to the member by reaching the transformer at the top of the pole. Once the participant reaches the top of the pole, they are then
considered to be knowledgeable about electric cooperatives and the title of District Manager is achieved and the final Substation Badge is
rewarded.
