Topic : Unit 9 The Holidays

Learning Standard : 2.2.4 Able to read and understand paragraph with simple and
compound sentences.

Objective : By the end of the lesson pupils should be able to read and answer 4 out

of 5 questions correctly.

Teaching Aids : Pictures, word list, texts (page 69)

CCE : Contextual Learning

Pre- Reading 1. Teacher shows the picture of the Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan in
(15 minutes) Perak to the class.
2. Teacher talks about the picture with the pupils orally.

While-Reading 1. Teacher shows the word list to the class and the pupils read aloud after
(20 minutes) the teacher.
2. Teacher then reads the texts to the class and the pupils listen
attentively.
3. Teacher asks the pupils to read in groups and individually.
4. Teacher asks questions to the class about the texts read orally.

Post-Reading 1. Pupils write the answers for the questions in the text book on page 69.
(20 minutes) 2. Pupils write answer True or False statement.
3. Pupils complete the information of the tower using the mind map.
4.
Closure 1. Pupils revise the information of the tower.
(5 minutes)
