Exercise 1
1. I have a problem with the insulation of the wire of my charger, it easily gets ripped which
leads to replacement.
2. I have a problem with my phone, it overheats while it is being used and charged at the
same time.
3. I have a problem with the electrical supply, there are unexpected power interruptions.
4. I have a problem with my mobile internet connection, internet speed varies from time and
place.
5. I have a problem with the washing machine dryer, it shrinks the clothes.

Exercise 2A

1. 1st Problem Money-wasting (Apple lightning to USB cable costs Php 1090.00)
2. 2nd Problem The 2nd problem can be limiting in some significant way for one should
wait for the phone to be fully charged before it can be used again.
3. 3rd Problem Time-consuming & Money-wasting.
a. Time-consuming: (Takes 3-5 hours before they bring back the electrical supply)
b. Money-wasting: Some businesses and services are interfered by the interruption.
4. 4th Problem The internet connection can be limiting in some important way for the
speed varies from time and place.
5. 5th Problem The 5th problem can be physically painful because some clothes wont fit as
they shrink.

Exercise 2B
1. I can consider myself more passionate than others with regards to these problems. As an
Electrical Engineering student, I can understand why problem #3 occurs. Some devices or
protective equipment fails in the system which leads to system interruptions or outages.
 Exercise 2C
1. Unexpected power interruptions

There are unexpected outages or system interruptions during summer. System interruptions
in our Barangay occurred twice a week last Summer. I was doing a research for our thesis
when the interruption happened. In that case, I was not able to continue my research.

2. Shrinking clothes

All of the Laundry shops that I have tried in Intramuros have shrink my clothes. There
are times that I gain weight and my clothes wont fit.

3. Phones overheat
I have read articles and reviews regarding phones nowadays. Most of the phones overheat
while it is being used and charged at the same time. I experienced this problem after the
first three months of using the phone. I can say that this one is time-consuming and limiting
in some way for you cannot use your phone that long if it is currently charging.
