(***)1.

Connect the dots by drawing four straight, continuous lines

that pass through each of the nine dots, and never lifting the pencil
from the paper. (Clue: Thinking outside the box may help!)

2.At McDonalds you can order Chicken McNuggets in boxes of 6,9,

and 20. What is the largest number of nuggets that you cannot order
using any combination of the above?

3.One person has some money in his pocket, he visits four temples
on the way. As soon as he enters a temple, his money gets doubled(2
times of what he has before entering) and he offers Rs.100 in each
temple thus his pocket gets empty after he returns from the fourth
temple. Now the question is how much money he had initially ?

4. Given three corner points of a triangle, and one more point P.

Write a method to check whether P lies within the triangle or not.

Assume the three vertices to be A(x1,y1),B(x2,y2),C(x3,y3) and point

P(x,y)?

5.Sara has 6 flower pots, each having a unique flower. Pots are
arranged in an arbitrary sequence in a row. Sara rearranges the
sequence each day but not two pots should be arranged adjacent to
each other which were already adjacent to each other in previous
arrangement. How many days she can do this or how many such
arrangements are possible ?

6.Consider a rectangular grid of 43 with lower left corner named as

A and upper right corner named B. Suppose that starting point is A
and you can move one step up(U) or one step right(R) only. This is
continued until B is reached. How many different paths from A to B
possible ?
(***)7.You have two jars, 50 red marbles and 50 blue marbles. You
need to place all the marbles into the jars such that when you blindly
pick one marble out of one jar, you maximize the chances that it will
be red. When picking, youll first randomly pick a jar, and then
randomly pick a marble out of that jar. You can arrange the marbles
however you like, but each marble must be in a jar. Find the
placement of marbles in jars so that there is maximum probability of
finding the red one.
8. A person dies, and he arrives at the gate to heaven. There are 3
doors in the heaven. One of the door leads to heaven, second one
leads to a 1-day stay at hell and then back to the gate and the third
one leads to a 2 day stay at hell and then back to the gate. Every time
the person is back at the gate, the 3 doors are reshuffled. What is the
average time a person will take to reach heaven?
Constraints:
-All events are equally likely to happen.
-The question says find average time so its pretty clear you have to
use probability to solve (if you havent figured that out yet).
-Average of 1 to infinity is not defined and therefore is not an answer.
(***)9. In a country where everyone wants a boy, each family
continues having babies till they have a boy. After some time, what is
the proportion of boys to girls in the country? (Assuming probability
of having a boy or a girl is the same).
10. Jim is trapped at the top of a building which is 200m high. He has
with him a rope 150m long. There is a hook at the top where he
stands. Looking down, he notices that midway between him and the
ground, at a height of 100m, there is a ledge with another hook. In his
pocket lies a sharp knife. How might he be able to come down using
the rope, the two hooks and the knife?
(***)11.A bear exists on an unknown location on Earth. What is
known is that it had a ball.
The following observations were made by an onlooker (it was his
final act):
1.The bear threw it to a height of 10m.
2.The ball fell down in exactly 1 second(from the height of 10m,stress
on exactly).
What was he colour of the bear?

The questions marked (***) can be used as bonus.
