Intra-RAT MLB Handover Parameter Adjustment

Figure 3-2 shows the adjustment process of intra-RATMLB handover

parameters. Parameters to be adjusted are cell individual offset (Ocn). The cell
with heavier load that initiates parameter optimization is called the initiating cell
(SrvCell in the figure). The neighbor cell with light load is called the peer cell
(NbrCell in the figure). If parameter optimization and parameter recovery are
performed, parameters of both the SrvCell i and NbrCell are adjusted.

The SrvCell and NbrCell can be in different eNodeBs or in the same eNodeB.
The adjustment processes are similar. The difference is that if the SrvCell and
NbrCell are in different eNodeBs, the parameter negotiation process is
transmitted through the X2 interface
