Senior Trainer

IPD

IPD is a global information business, dedicated to the supply of independent market indices and
portfolio benchmarks to the property industry. It is a successful multinational company operating in
the UK and over twenty other countries and its client base ranges from leading investment banks to
fund managers and property companies across the globe.

The purpose of the job

Based in London the Operations Department is part of IPD Group Services; primarily focused on
providing the training, education and support to the Service Delivery departments of all Business
Units. In addition the team identifies process optimisation and implementation of new processes
and procedures for new and existing products. The initial focus is the Service Delivery and Client
Management departments but as part of Group Services, Operations will be increasingly involved in
ownership of processes across other areas.

The Training, Education & Documentation team provides direct training for all levels within Service
Delivery and delivers or supports Business units with specialist training.

The team is the custodian of all generic and service specific training documentation and is
responsible for reviewing and evolving the generic material. In addition the team will monitor the
completeness of service specific documentation across Business units.

The successful candidate will be responsible for co-ordinating and delivering training across
Business units but primarily for Service Delivery and Client Management. This will include:

• Preparation of training material and evolving generic training documentation


• Co-ordination and delivery of new starter training primarily for Service Delivery and
extending to other Business units
• Co-ordination and delivery of specialist training e.g. benchmark production and xbar
• Review service specific documentation and identify improvements
• Service delivery support (helpdesk);

Reports to

Head of Training, Education & Documentation


Key responsibilities

• Maintain an excellent understanding of IPD’s methodology and processes


• Design, develop, and implement training and development programs to enhance the skills of
staff across all levels
• Co-ordinate and deliver standard training and support service specific and HR based training
• Review training and documentation requirements and assist with improvements where required

Professional /Technical Knowledge

1. Mininum 2 years experience in planning and delivering training


2. Numerate with good analytical skills
3. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes, including proficiency using Word,
Powerpoint and Excel
4. Excellent communicator with the ability to work with different departments, regional offices
and profiles of people
