1 Confirmation of minutes of the 7th Staff Meeting. Mrs Irene Chee

Mrs Irene Chee addressed the staff on the previous minutes and the
minutes were confirmed by Mr Abu and seconded by Ms Husna.

2 ACADEMIC

PT3 and SPM Updates


The PT3 assessors have had the first evaluation and moderation Mr Jeevan /
on Form 3 students. The second moderation will take place on Pn Jamaliah
11 August 2017.

All Form 3 students have done and submitted their PT3 Geografi Mr Nara /
project. Pn Roshahida

SPM ICT assessor will come on 11 August 2017, after 10am, to Ms Harvinder
assess students project.

Teachers are reminded to send email to notify parents on the All secondary
PT3 and SPM extra tutorials. teachers

HODs and Departments


All emails to parents by subject teachers must be copied to HOD All secondary
and DP. teachers

HODs are to ensure their monthly HOD reports were written in HODs
realistic manner.

Assessment 2 (for Secondary 1, 2 and 4) and PT3 Trial Exam

Teachers have been reminded to adhere to the examination All secondary
guidelines and deadlines. teachers

Observations 2nd Semester 2017 All secondary


The observations for second semester are ongoing. teachers
VLE/ Homework Journal
Teachers are encouraged to use the VLE/ Homework Journals All secondary
regularly. Teachers who have problems with VLE and teachers
Homework Journal are to see Mr Param to seek solutions.

3 SPORTS/ CCA/ ECA


MSSD/ MSSS/ MSSM
There were 4 students took part in MSSS 2017, they are: Mr Abu
Tennis (MSSM): Aida binti Amir Hashim (S5 Sc 2)
Izran bin Mohammed Farroukh (S1 Jupiter)

National level Competition


Ice Hockey: Muhammad Fareez Afdlin (S2 Neptune)
Wushu: Boh Yee Zhi (S3 Mars)

CCA/ ECA Mr Abu/


CCA will be conducted until 12 October 2017. All CCA clubs CCA Head
and societies Head of Advisors are required to submit their Advisors/
yearly report to Mr Abu in October 2017. HRTs
All HRTs are to prepare PAJSK report for all students by end of
the academic year.

4 SCHOOL EVENTS
APS Open Days All secondary
Open Days have confirmed to be held on 30 September and 11 teachers
November 2017.

8th Annual School Drama Production: Puteri Gunung Ledang Ms Marissa and
15 and 16 July 2017 Post Mortem production team
The account has yet to close, but it seems likely will be running
on deficit. Nevertheless, Mrs Chee thanked the production team
led by Ms Marissa who had contributed to the success of the
performance.

APSS/ Miyoshi Homestay Programme 3-8 September 2017 Ms Ungku Emelia


To date, there are 10 students have submitted the forms and
made the first payment.

Mrs Chee has just signed a memorandum of understanding with


the mayor of Miyoshi, hope that the cultural exchange
programme between APSS and Miyoshi students will be
continued. Besides, Mrs Chee also proposed to have exchange of
teachers in future.

Visit from Henley High School, Adelaide, Australia 30 July - Ms Nurul


12 August 2017 Izwarina/ Ms Lim/
The farewell ceremony with Henley High School will be held on Ms Marissa
11 August 2017 (Friday). The date to visit Henley High School
has yet to be decided.

OBS Papar, Sabah 12-19 November 2017 Ms Erni/
To date, there are only 12 students have confirmed participating Mr Abu/ Mr Faiz
in OBS.

5 DISCIPLINE Mr Pau and


discipline team
Students suspension
Four students are suspended after breaching school rules of
being at roof- top, a prohibited area.

Students attire and apperance


Students are not allowed to wear PE attire and sports shoes the
whole day during school hours.
Students with inappropriate uniform will be reprimanded and to
be sent home.
The disciplinary board has bought nail clippers, socks, shaver,
etc, to sell to students who have been violating the rules despite
warning given.

Prefects Installation
Prefects Installation will be held on 11 August 2017 (Friday)
8.30am 11. 00am

Prefect Camp
Prefect Camp has been postponed to another date, will update by
Mr Pau and Mr Harvinder.

Danger signage
The danger signages have been put up by the Logistic team to
signal students from entering prohibited area.

6 STAFF MATTERS

Swimming lessons for teachers Mr Fairuz


Mrs Chee suggested swimming lessons to be conducted for
teachers.

Teachers attire All Secondary


Teachers are required to wear collared-t-shirt preferably with Teachers
school logo on it whenever they have sport activities.
Male teachers are required to wear tie during school hours.

Staff Club Mr Addie/ Ms


President Mr Addie reported that the collection of club fund has Husna
been started. He will update the programmes to be organized
from time to time.
7 OTHER MATTERS

Aplikasi Pengkalan Data Murid (APDM) All Secondary


There is a directive from Ministry of Education to have all Teachers
students data to be keyed-in to database. Mr Abu will supervise
all HRTs on this matter.

Olympiad Maths Competition(OMK) Mr Naren


There are 24 students will be paticipating in the competition
which will be held on 12th August at SMK seksyen 9 Shah
Alam.
Mr Naren has been training potential students to take part in the
Olympiad Mathematics Competition.

14th General Election


The officers who will be involved in the GE-14 are Mr Pau, Mr
Abu, Mr Nara, Mr Roslan, Mr Iskandar, Mr Rohaizi and Ms Nik
Kamsiah. They will be led by Mr Putra.

Mr Robin expressed his gratitude to Ms Mathilda which


followed by all the teachers on her effort in cleaning and tidy up
staff pantry. Her good job is highly appreciated.

The meeting was adjourned at 5.00pm.
