brokerage division operates as a subcontractor of freight, securing large contracts
and outsourcing the job to local asset based carriers and owner operators. The
brokerage division provides strong profit margins (8-10%) while passing operating
risk to various sub-contractors. Further, the then established sub-contractor base is
able to secure contracts not currently available to the asset based Generic
Company, increasing revenue diversification and lowering Company specific risk.
