A. Graduate Competence Standard

6. Processing, presenting, and interpreting data, understanding the counting
rule, permutation, combination, and probability of an event and using it in
problem solving

B. Standard of competence
1. Using statistics rules, counting rules, and the properties of probability in
problem solving

C. Basic competence
1.1 Reading data on table, bar diagrams, line diagrams, pie diagrams, and
ogive

D. Indicators
1. Reading the given statistical data on tables, bar diagrams, line diagrams,
and pie diagrams
2. Identifying the value of data that given on tables and diagrams

D. Time Allocation : 2 x 45 minutes (First Meeting)

E. Student Achievement
1. Students are able to read the given statistical data on tables, bar diagram,
line diagrams, and pie diagrams
2. Students are able to identify the value of data that given on tables and
diagrams

F. Instructional Contents
Any single information gathered from a research called datum. Data is a set
of datum. Data could be typed as quantitative (in numerical form) and
qualitative (not in numerical form). The quantitative data consist of two types,
there are discrete (there are only a finite number of value possible or a space
on the number line between each 2 possible values) and continuous data
(usually associated with some sort of physical measurement).
Statistic is a set of data arranged in a list or diagram. Statistics is the
science related to statistic that addressing the methods in collecting,
processing, interpreting (descriptive statistics), and generating a conclusion
(inferential statistics) from the research data. Population is a set of entire
object that addressed in our research. Sample is a part of population from
which the data are collected. There are many kinds of diagram; there are table,
bar diagram, and pie diagram.

G. Learning Strategy
1. Instructional approach : Discovery Learning
2. Teaching and learning model : Cooperative learning (Jigsaw)
3. Methods : Discussion, task assignment

diagram, pie diagram,
and ogive, as well as its
interpretation.
Teacher explains the
aim of lesson.
3. Main Activity XI IPA 35 Group Discussion
a. Exploration minutes
Teacher raises students
knowledge about
statistics.
Teacher divides the
class into the original
group which each group
has 4 members with the
different of academic
skill.
Teacher gives each
member in the group the
different material that is
reading the diagrams.
Teacher gives the
Student Worksheet to
read and identify the
diagrams in each
member in the group.
Teacher divides the
class into 4 expert group
which each member in
the expert group has the
same material.
Teacher asks students to
read carefully and
understand the problem
on worksheet.
b. Elaboration
Students to discuss in
each group.
Teacher facilitates the
expert group who have
problem with Student
Worksheet.
Teacher asks the
students to go back to
their original group.
c. Confirmation
Teacher asks each
member to explain their
material that have
discussed into their
original group.
Teacher asks the
member of group
randomly to present the
material while the others
giving respond.
To check students
concept comprehension
and their intellectual
activity of
communication, teacher
asks student to do the
exercise.
After students do
exercise, teacher
correcting their paper
and discussing the
difficult problem with
the students.
4. Closing XI IPA 5 minutes Close this
Teacher guides students meeting
to make summarize
about material which
have discussed
Teacher and students
make reflection about
what have been
discussed at this
meeting
Teacher asks students to
do exercise in their
homes
Teacher remind students
to read the next
materials (presenting
and interpreting data on
diagrams) for the next
meeting
