THE SUPERPOSITION TOOLS

You can access the Superposition tools by opening a 8 bit file (.ic1 or .img) and a 16 bit file
(.ic2 or .geo) at the same time (Contour Treatment / Open Disk Session or Contour Treatment
/ Open Memory Session).

These tools allow the superposition of a 16 bit file on a 8 bit file currently loaded. The user
can verify the alignment of the DTM and Image file by comparing the positions of the coast-
line in both files.

Procedures

1/ Open a 8 bit file (.ic1 or .img) and a 16 bit file (.ic2 or .geo) (Contour Treatment / Open
Disk Session or Contour Treatment / Open Memory Session)
2/ Select the tool by clicking (8 left button) directly over its icon
3/ The 8 bit file (.ic1 or .img) is displayed
4/ Select the tool by clicking (8 left button) directly over its icon
5/ The 16 bit file (.ic2 or .geo) is displayed and is superimposed to the 8 bit file (.ic1 or
.img).
