Inside SBB thirteen, Sato demanded for Langdon explanation about this room. The director
thought that SBB thirteen is a Masonic room. Langdon explained to both Director Sato and Chief
Anderson that this room called the Chamber of Reflection, a special room the Mason use to
reflect their mortality by meditating in front of the death and gains a valuable perspective on the
fleeting nature of life. Anderson commented that the room looks like a dead shrine to him. The
three of them began to search something inside the Chamber of Reflection. Chief Anderson the
first one who shouted while he pointed his flashlight in the wall nearby. VITRIOL, said the
word that written in the wall. Sato asked Langdon if he know what the word means which
Langdon answered that the word is an acronym for Visita interiora terrae, rectificando invenies
occultum lapidem that means visit the interior of the earth, and by rectifying, you will find the
hidden stone. After a long explanation, Sato found a mysterious opening inside canvas on the
other side of the wall. She ordered Anderson to check what is inside the canvas. At first the chief
announced that there is nothing inside the wall before he shouted in surprise. Unexpectedly the
chief pulled out something unusual from the secret passage. Both Langdon and Sato looked in
disbelief. Chief Anderson put the object on top of the desk and asks the professor if he know
about this object. Sato then commented that theyre already found their missing pyramid.
The look of surprise on Langdon face clearly said that the object is not typical within the
Chamber of Reflection. Langdons mind starts to wonder why a stone pyramid doing inside the
room while Sato started to investigate the pyramid. Langdon startled from his thought when he
hears the director voice. Sato repeated Langdon explanation about the Masonic Pyramid that
protect secret information which Langdon agreed that it was what the legends said. Sato then
added that Peters captor believe that this stone pyramid was the Masonic pyramid that contained
the secret information inside. Langdon only nod his head then explain that even Peters captor
discovered the pyramid, he wouldnt be able to read it because the legend said that the
information from the pyramid are encoded making them indecipherable except to the most
worthy. Anderson disturbs Langdon explanation and asks what the professor mean to the most
worthy ones. Langdon explain to the chief that mythological treasure always protected by test of
worthiness just like the stone sword of Arthurs. The Masonic Pyramid is based on the same
idea. The information in this treasure was written in encoded language legible only to the
worthy. With that, Sato stated that she know the reason why Langdon was summoned here in the
first place. The director commented that someone believe that Langdon is worthy to hold the
secret information from the pyramid.
On SMSC building inside the Pod 5, Katherine Solomon still waits for her assistant and guest to
come. Its been two hours since Trish walked out from Pod 5 to meet her guest in the entrance of
the building. Curiously, Katherine dialed the guard outside and demanded to know where her
assistant and guest which the guard answers that from Trish access card, she just walked out
from Pod 3 and seems like to give the guest a tour to all the building. Katherine nodded and asks
if her brother already arrive on the building which the guard replied that Mr. Solomon hasnt
arrived yet. With that, Katherine ended the call and decides to wait a little longer inside her lab.

Inside the Chamber of Reflection, Sato ordered Langdon to encoded the code that written on top
of the dull surface of the pyramid while she asking for the chief to discuss something.
Unbeknownst to Langdon, the director pulled out her phone and showed the X-ray of Langdon
bag before he entered the building. The chief looked surprised when he notice the shape that
hidden inside Langdons bag. Langdon was surprised when unexpectedly Sato accusing him for
lying. Sato showed the professor the picture and asks the package inside Langdons back. Before
Langdon tried his best to explain the chief, Sato ordered Anderson to grab Langdons bag which
the chief oblige immediately. Anderson grab Langdons back and pulled it out from his owner
hands. He unzips the bag and put the stone pyramid inside the bag. Before the chief even manage
to bring the bag with him, a stranger knocked the chief to the floor. Sato suddenly pulled her gun
and pointed it to the stranger, but before she can pulled the trigger, the stranger hit her with the
human bones. The stranger kicked Satos gun away and ordered Langdon to grab his bag and
follow him.
Langdon followed the man behind and running through the hallway of Capitol building.
On the way, they passed Officer Nunez. The stranger asks the officer to open the secret passage
that hidden behind the wall on the intersection. He ordered the officer to close the passage as
soon as he stepped inside and demanded to not tell anyone about this. The Office obliges and
opened the passage to the stranger. The stranger ordered Langdon to come with him inside the
hidden passages while the officer outside slowly closed the entrance. The hidden passages
remind Langdon of the passetto tunnel that connect Vatican to Castle Sant Angelo in Rome. The
Stranger then introduced himself as Warren Bellamy the architect of Capitol Building and a
Peters friend. Langdon seems a bit surprised to know that the architect of Capitol building also a
part of Mason, a Thirty third degree ones. Langdon explained that Peters in danger and mention
about Peters severed hand in Rotunda which Bellamy answered that he already know all of it.

Inside the SMSC building, MalAkh smile satisfied. He already receive some urgent information
from his contact that something unexpected happen inside the Capitol. Even so, MalAkh now
know that Langdon already possess the stone pyramid and the capstone. This ensured him of his
future victory.

Langdon hurriedly keep his pace with Warren Bellamys brisk footstep as they move down
without a word in the long tunnel. The architect seems to try to put a distance between Sato and
the stone pyramid for some unknown reason. Suddenly, the sound of Langdons cell cut the air.
Langdon pulled out his cell phone and answer the call. The familiar voice on the other line who
Langdon notice immediately as Peters captor state that he heard Langdon had unexpected
company. Langdon felt a sudden chill and demanded the captor to tell him where is Peter
Solomon. Theres a faint chuckle on the other side before the captor state that Peter is still alive
and tell Langdon that he dont need to worry about him. Langdon shouted that the captor cut off
Peters hand and he needs a doctor to check his condition. The man replied that Peter didnt need
a doctor, in fact he need a priest for his condition now. He tells the professor to do as his
command if he wants Peter to live. Langdon spat that a word from a madman means nothing to
him. The captor laugh slowly and explained that Langdon already guided by The Hands of
Mystery to a portalthe pyramid that means to unveil the ancient wisdom and now the artifact is
in Langdons possession. Langdon argued with the man if he believes the chunk of rock is the
Masonic Pyramid and added Peters word is all a lie and he said when hes in fear. The captor
said that Peters told him a little about this matter and aware that the Pyramid in Langdon
possession has an encrypted engravings. He demanded Langdon to decipher the engravings and
he will trade it for Peters life. Langdon protested whether he manage to decipher the engravings,
it will not turned into ancient mysteries. The captor replied that he agreed of Langdons
statement. He stated that the power of Masonic Pyramid is not that it reveals the mysteries itself
but rather than reveal the secret location where the mysteries were buried. Langdon took a
double take of the man words before he stated that the pyramid is a map that leads for the ancient
wisdom location. In front of him, Langdon can see that Warren Bellamy stopped abruptly and
looked Langdon with shock expression. It seems that Langdon word just hit a raw nerve. The
captor laugh in satisfaction and commented that Langdon was indeed a brilliant man. He
demanded the professor to decipher the engravings today before he end the call.

Far away from Washington D.C to New York, Editor Jonas Faukman was just turning off the
light of his office before his cell suddenly rang. The editor pulled out his cell from the bag and
look at the caller ID before he decides to answer the call. Before the man on the line answer,
Jonas asks if the company still going to publish his work which replied by the sound of Langdon
voice that stated he need Jonas help right now. Jonas raised his brow and asks if Langdon needs
him to edit his work which Langdon declined and answered that he need information of
Katherine Solomon cell number. Jonas rolled his eye and begins to unlock his office. He turned
the computer and type Katherine name on the window. On the process, Jonas asks Langdon
where he is right now which Langdon answered immediately that he was inside the tunnel under
US Capitol Building. Jonas shook his head at Langdons replied and comment why he doesnt
stay at home to write the next manuscript before he give Katherine number to Langdon. Langdon
thanked Jonas for his help which Jonas replied that Langdon owe him a manuscript for this.

Inside Pod 5, Katherine Solomon did a double take on her cell phone. She was thought that it
was from her assistant Trish. She push the answer button and she was sure hears Langdon
breathless voice from the other line. Before she can say a word, Langdon stated with relief that
she was fine which make the scientist confuse and ask the professor if something happening with
him. Langdon explain to Katherine that something happen tonight and Peter is in trouble.
Langdon added that Peter have been taken by some stranger. Katherine cut Langdon explanation
and said that her brother is fine and she just spoke to him fifteen minutes ago. On the line, she
can hear Langdon surprise voice and asks her if she really speak with Peter which Katherine said
that she just only get a message from his brother. Langdon asks Katherine to read Peters
message to him which Katherine oblige. On the message, it was clear that Peter asks Katherine to
invite Dr. Abaddon to her private lab for discussion. Langdon shouted in disbelief and said that
she have been tricked by Peters captor. Langdon explain that Peters captor must have Peter cell
with him to contact Katherine. He also asked Katherine if she really invited the man on the
message which Katherine replied with a yes. On the crucial moment, Langdon said in fear that
Katherine need to run away from her lab right now. Instantly, Katherine cut off the conversation
and dialed the security guard number. When the security guard answer the call, Katherine
ordered him to check the security camera in search for her assistant Trish and her guest Dr.
Abaddon. The guard checked the security camera that Trish and her guest opened Pod 3 before
suddenly the guest is the only one who came out of the room. Frantically, Katherine demanded
where Trish right now. The security guard who checked all the camera suddenly gasp and said
that theyre in serious trouble. He tell Katherine that her guest already went inside the Pod 5
ninety seconds ago with a wet cloth. Katherine body went rigid at the thought she was inside her
dark lab with her guest. Katherine try to remained still and breathe quickly. After a few second
she can smell the scent of ethanol that grew closer to her place. Katherine can sense a presence in
the room. And suddenly a gunshot echoed in the dark lab.

The secret tunnel from Capitol brought Langdon and Warren Bellamy inside the constructive
area of The Library of Congress. Warren shows Langdon a hidden path inside the constructive
area. They decide to take the secret place as their hideout for awhile. Inside, Langdon unzipped
his bag and take out the stone pyramid. Both of them investigate the stone pyramid before
Warren commented that Langdon know how to read the language which Langdon replied
immediately with a simple yes. Langdon eyeing the sixteen symbols known as Freemason
cipher, the encoded language that used for private communication among early Masonic
brothers. He only needs a piece of paper and pen to decipher the language in sixty seconds. On
the middle of his work, Bellamy asked Langdon if he knows why Director Sato seems to be
interested in the stone pyramid which Langdon answered by shook his head. Bellamy
commented that perhaps Director Sato already discovered the pyramid true potential. Meanwhile
in the darkness of her lab, Katherine tried her best effort to escape from Peters captor. She
almost cornered in her lab before she activated her lab special security system. In the brightness
of light, Katherine manage to open her lab door and running outside to her car. On the run, she
can hear the captor words as he admit he should have killed her ten years ago just like he killed
her mother.

In a basement office deep inside the CIA quarters, Nola has just reported about the engravings on
the stone pyramid to Sato. The girl explained that the result is meaningless word and appears to
be a grid of random letter. Sato insisted that the word must have a meaning which Nola replied
that perhaps the code have a second layer. Then, Sato ordered her to investigate the X-ray of
Langdons package for the additional result to the engravings stone.
