Duringtheenrollment,displaythefaceinthecentre ofscreenaspossible.According
to theprompt appears on thedevices screen, put the eyesin the green box.The
user needs to move forward and backward to adjust the eyes position duringthe
faceregistration.Theenrollmentposesareasfollows:

Recommendedfingers:Theindexfinger,middlefingerortheringfingerthethumb
and little finger are not recommended (because they are usually clumsy on the
fingerprintcollectionscreen).

1.4UseofTouchScreen
Touch the screen with one of your fingertips or the top of the forward edge of a
fingernail, as shown in the following figure. A broad point of contact may lead to
inaccuratepointing.
When the touch screen is less sensitive to the touch, you can perform screen
calibration through menu operations. Press [Menu] [Calibration] on the screen
and a cross icon will be displayed. After you touch the center of the cross at five
locationsonthescreencorrectly,thesystemautomaticallyreturnstothemainmenu.
Press [Return] to return to the initial interface. For details, see 10 Screen
Calibration inthismanual.
Smearordustonthetouchscreenmayaffecttheperformanceofthetouchscreen.
Therefore,trytokeepthescreencleananddustfree.

1.5TouchOperations
(1)Enternumbers.Pressthe[UserID]key.Thesystemautomaticallydisplaysthe
numberinputinterface.AfterenteringtheuserID,press[OK]tosaveandreturnto
thepreviousinterface.
(2) Enter Text. Press the [Name] key. The system automatically displays the text
input interface. After entering the user name, press [X] to save and return to the
previousinterface.
(3) Modify parameters. Press the default value of a parameter and the system
automaticallyswitchestoanothervalueofthisparameter.

1.8VerificationModes
1.8.1FingerprintVerification
1. 1:Nfingerprintverification
Theterminalcomparescurrentfingerprintcollectedbythefingerprintcollectorwith
allfingerprintdataontheterminal.
(1)Toenterthefingerprintverificationmode.
Thedeviceautomaticallydistinguishesface
and fingerprint verification, just pressing
finger on the collector. Shall be fingerprint
authenticationmode.
(2) Press your finger on the fingerprint
collector by adopting the proper finger
placement. For details, see 1.3 Finger
Placement.
(3) If the verification is successful, an
interface asshown inFigure1onthe right
willbedisplayed.
(4)Iftheverificationisnotsuccessful,aninterfaceasshowninFigure2ontheright
willbedisplayed.

2. 1:1fingerprintverification
Inthe1:1fingerprintverificationmode,theterminalcomparescurrentfingerprint
collectedthroughthefingerprintcollectorwiththatinrelationtotheuserIDentered
throughkeyboard.Adoptthismodeonlywhenitisdifficulttorecognizethe
fingerprint.
(1) To enter the 1:1 recognition mode, you
can:
A) Press [1:1] on the screen, as shown in
Figure1ontheright
B) Press related shortcut key on the
keyboard.
Note: You can enter the 1:1 recognition
mode through B) only after setting a
shortcut key for1:1. For details, see 8
KeyboardDefinitions.
(2) Enter user ID and then press the
"Fingerprint icon (Figure 2 on the right) to
enter1:1fingerprintrecognitionmode.Ifthe
prompt Unregistered user! is displayed,
the user ID is nonexistent or the user ID
bearerhasnotenrolledhis/herfingerprint.
(3) Press your finger on the fingerprint
collector by adopting the proper finger
placement. For details, see 1.3 Finger
Placement.
(4) If the verification is successful, an
interface as shown inFigure 3 on the right
will be displayed. If the verification is not
successful,showasFigure4.

1.8.2FacialVerification

2. 1:1facialverification
Theterminalcomparescurrentfacialcollectedthroughthefacialcollectorwiththatin
relationtotheuserIDenteredthroughkeyboard.Adoptthismodeonlywhenitis
difficulttorecognizethefacial.
(1) To enter the 1:1 recognition mode, you
can:
A) Press [1:1] on the screen, as shown in
Figure1ontheright
B) Press related shortcut key on the
keyboard.
Note: You can enter the 1:1 recognition
mode through B) only after setting a
shortcut key for 1:1. For details, see 8

(2) Enter user ID and then press the "1:1
Facialicon(Figure2ontheright)toenter1:1
facial recognition mode. If the prompt
Unregistereduser!isdisplayed,theuserID
is nonexistent or the user ID bearer has not
enrolledhis/herfaceinthesystem.
(3) Compare the facial in a proper way. For
details, see 1.1 The Distance, Facial
Expression and Stand Pose. Current facial
collected through the facial collector is
displayed on the comparison interface, as
showninFigure3ontheright.
(4)Iftheverificationissuccessful,aninterfaceasshowninFigure4ontherightwill
be displayed. The system will return to the main interface if the verification is not
passedwithin20seconds.

3.1:Gfacialverification
Note: When you open the 1: G Verify function, then you can make 1:G facial
verification.Fordetailpleasesee5.5LogSettings.
Current group No. is displayed on the facial
recognition interface. Users in current group
canperformfacialcomparisondirectly.Usersof
another group can perform facial comparison
onlyafterenteringthegroupNo.orselectingit
usingtheshortcutkey.Andthesystemwillset
the group entered or selected by users to be
thecurrentgroupinstantly.
(1)Press[1:1/1:G]onthescreentoenterthe1:
G recognition mode, as shown in Figure 1 on
theright.
(2)EnteruserGroupNo.andthenpressthe"1:
G icon (Figure 2 on the right) to enter 1: G
fingerprintrecognitionmode.
(3) Compare the facial in a proper way. For
details, see1.1 Standing Position and Posture,
and Facial Expression. Current Group No. is
displayed on the comparison interface, as
showninFigure3ontheright.
Note: Check whether you are in current
groupifnot,returntoStep1.
(4)Iftheverificationissuccessful,aninterface
asshowninFigure4ontherightwillbedisplayed.

1.8.3PasswordVerification
Inthepasswordverificationmode,theterminalcomparesthepasswordenteredwith
thatinrelationtotheuserID.
(1) To enter the password verification mode,
youcan:
A) Press [1:1] on the screen, as shown in
Figure1ontheright
B)Pressrelatedshortcutkeyonthekeyboard.
Note: You can enter the 1:1 recognition
mode through B) only after setting a
shortcut key for 1:1. For details, see 8
KeyboardDefinitions.
(2)EntertheuserIDandthenpressthe"Key
icon(Figure2ontheright)toenterpassword
verificationmode.If the promptUnregistered
user! is displayed,the userIDis nonexistent
ortheuserIDbearerhasnotenrolledhis/her
passwordinthesystem.
(3) Enter the password and press the OK
icon to start the password comparison, as
showninFigure3ontheright.
(4). Iftheverificationissuccessful,aninterface
as shown in Figure 4 on the right will be
displayed.

1.8.4IDCardVerification
OnlytheproductswithabuiltinIDcardmodulesupporttheIDcardverification.The
productswithabuiltinIDcardmodulesupportthefollowingtwoverificationmodes:
IDCardOnly:UsersonlyneedtoswipetheirIDcardsforverification.
ID + Facial Verification: After passing the ID card verification, you also need to
performfacialverification.
Forthesettingsofthesetwoverificationmodes,see5.5LogSettings.
1. IDCardOnly
(1)IfyouhaveyourIDcardnumberenrolled
inthesystem,youcanpasstheverification
byswipingyourIDcardattheswipingarea
inaproperway.
(2) If the verification is successful, an
interface as shown in Figure 1 on the right
willbedisplayed.
(3) If the verification is not successful, an
interface as shown in Figure 2 on the right
willbedisplayed.

2. ID+FacialVerification
(1) Swipe your ID card properly at the
swiping area to enter the 1:1 facial
verification mode, as shown in Figure 1 on
theright:

2.MainMenu
Therearetwotypesofrightsrespectivelygrantedtotwotypesofusers:theordinary
users and administrators. Ordinary users are only granted the rights of facial,
fingerprint, password or card verification, while administrators are granted the
accesstothemainmenuforvariousoperationsapartfromhavingalltheprivileges
grantedtoordinaryusers.
Press [Menu] on the initial interface to access the main menu, as shown in the
followingfigure:
Anyusercanaccessthemainmenubypressingthe[Menu]keyifthe
systemisfreefromadministrators.Afteradministratorsareconfigured
ontheterminal,theterminalneedstoverifytheadministratorsidentity
before granting them access to the main menu. To ensure terminal
security, it is recommended to set an administrator when using the
terminal initially. For detailed operations, see 3.1.9 Modify User
Rights.

System:Throughthissubmenu,youcansetsystemrelatedparameters,including
the General,Display,Fingerprint,FaceandLogSettings,toenabletheFFRterminal
tomeetuserrequirementstothegreatestextentintermsoffunctionsanddisplay.
DataMgt.:Throughthissubmenu,youcanperformmanagementofdatastoredon
the FFR terminal, for example, Delete Transactions, All Data and Picture, Clear
AdministratorandRestoretoFactorySettings.
Dn/Upload:Throughthissubmenu,youcanimportuserinformationandattendance
datastoredinaUSBdisktorelatedsoftwareorotherfingerprintrecognition
equipment.

Keyboard: Through this submenu, you can customize six shortcut keys. Related
statuswillbedisplayedbypressingrelatedstatuskey.
AutoTest:Thissubmenuenablesthesystemtoautomaticallytestwhether
functionsofvariousmodulesarenormal,includingtheScreen,Fingerprint,Voice,
Face,Keyboardand Time.
Calibration:Whenthetouchscreenislesssensitivetothetouch,youcancalibrate
thescreenonthecalibrationinterfacethroughthissubmenu.
Bell:Throughthissubmenu,youcansetthealarmtimeandduration.
Access:Throughthissubmenu,youcansettheparametersoftheelectroniclocks
andrelatedaccesscontroldevices.
J Note: When the user enable access, then you can make access setting,

3.1.1EnteringaUserID
The FFR terminal automatically allocates an ID starting from 1 for every user in
sequence.IfyouusetheIDallocatedbytheFFRterminal,youmayskipthissection.
1. Press[User ID] on theAdd Userinterface to displaythe userIDmanagement
interface,asshowninFigure1ontheright:
Tip:TheuserIDcanbemodifiedduringinitialenrollment,butonceenrolled,it
cannotbemodified.
2. Onthe displayedkeyboardinterface,entera
userIDandpress<OK>asshowninFigure2
ontheright.IfapromptmessageTheuserID
alreadyexists!isdisplayed,enteranotherID.
Tip:TheFFRterminalsupports1to9digit
user IDs by default. If you need to extend
the length of current user ID numbers,
please consult our commercial
representatives or foresale technical
supportpersonnel.
3.AftertheuserIDisentered,aninterfaceis
displayed as show in Figure 3 on the right.
Press [Save] to save current information and
return to the previous interface. Press [User
Mgt.]toreturntothepreviousinterfacewithout
savingcurrentinformation.

2. On the displayed Enroll Fingerprint
Interface (as shown in the Figure 2 on the
right), place your finger on the fingerprint
collector properly according to the system
prompts.Fordetails,seeFingerPlacement.
3. Place the same finger on the fingerprint
collectorforthreeconsecutivetimescorrectly.
If the enrollment succeeds, the system will
display a prompt message Enrolled
Successfully and automatically return to the
[AddUser]interface(asshowninFigure3and
4 on the right). If the enrollment fails, the
system will display a prompt message and
return to the [Enroll Fingerprint] interface. In
thiscase,youneedtorepeattheoperationsof
step2.
4.Youcanbackuptheenrolledfingerprintofa
user by pressing [Fingerprint]. A user can
enroll10fingerprintsatmaximum.
5.Press[Save]tosavecurrentinformationand
return to the previous interface. Press [User
Mgt.]toreturntothepreviousinterfacewithoutsavingcurrentinformation.

3.1.6EnteringaGroupNo.
The FFR terminal enables the facial comparison function by default. During face
enrollment, the FFR automatically allocates a group No. starting from 1 for every

modules are normal, including the screen, collector, voice, facial, keyboard and

Screen Test: The FFR terminal automatically tests the display effect of the color

Voice Test: The FFR terminal automatically tests whether the voice files are
