Some good points to consider there. My eldest is going to start Prep next year and is
currently attending 4yo Kinder. Her behaviour has been particularly vile recently and a
much older and wiser grandmother suggested that perhaps my girl is ready for school now
and bored with being at home with Mum. Amazingly once I looked at it that way and started
challenging her more my girl has gone from a demon to an angel.
Your list has given me some more ideas of areas to challenge her in and things I can teach
her.
Similar situation in our house too. I think she has gained confidence in her own ability at
kinder this year and I needed to catch up a little with suitable activities for her.
Thanks for participating in this weeks Carnival of Family Life, hosted at Write from Karen!
Be sure to stop by on Monday, May 12, 2008, and peruse the other wonderful articles
included in this weeks edition!
Wren was having problems with about 4 out of 10 of those points, and she had some real
problems with school that are only settling down now (shes in yr2). Unfortunately, she was
at the age where she legally had to attend.
On the other hand, Mr Bump doesnt have to start school until 2010, but is almost ready
for it now! Hell have to wait until he turns 5 in Feb though.
Thanks for confirming what I already thought about him.
