*** “Many Buried Alive.--The new birth is a rare experience in this age of the world. This is the
reason why there are so many perplexities in the churches. Many, so many, who assume the
name of Christ are unsanctified and unholy. They have been baptized, but they were buried alive.
Self did not die, and therefore they did not rise to newness of life in Christ (MS 148, 1897).
{6BC 1075.”
“How many have their names upon the church books who know not what it means to have Christ
abide in their hearts by faith. There are many who make a profession of Christianity who will
have to be born again or they cannot see the kingdom of heaven. They will have to become
partakers of his love and grace before they can present to others the great salvation that has been
provided for those who are dead in trespasses and sins. But the promise is given to those who
feel their want, "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness; for they shall be
filled." God has promised the fullness of salvation, and yet the world is full of those who are
hungering and thirsting after the pleasures, the fashions, the applause of the world. Many are
hungering and thirsting, that they may have their own way. But those who are hungering and
thirsting after righteousness are directing their desires along the channel where the fullness of
heaven shall be given. Why not determine that you will place your will on the side of God's will,
that you may become a laborer together with God. Jesus says, ‘Ye shall receive power, after that
the Holy Ghost is come upon you; and ye shall be witnesses unto me.’ Then is there any excuse
for our weakness, for our coldness, for our lethargy? There are many who seem to think that
when they have acknowledged that they are full of weakness, they have put a plaster over their
sins. But we are not to talk of our inefficiency, but to find in Christ a full salvation. He says,
‘Him that cometh unto me I will in nowise cast out.’ {ST, June 6, 1892 par. 3}”

*** Dedicated Christians will only highly respect Jesus Christ. But so many professing
Christians have switched hero or heroine worship of secular famous people (athletes, Hollywood
or TV stars, or/and politicians) to highly esteeming their pastors or certain TV preachers.
Remember that God did not even want His people to have a king. He just wanted them to love
and trust Him.

*** “Persecuting powers will be brought to judgment; for all the resources of Heaven and Earth
are to be called at God’s command to do His work. God sees and knows those who are proud and
self-sufficient, and He will bring them into judgment.” Paulson Collection, page 123.

*** “So perished the Medo-Persian kingdom, and the kingdoms of Grecia and Rome. And so
perishes all that has not God for its foundation. Only that which is bound up with His purpose,
and expresses His character, can endure. His principles are the only steadfast things our world
knows.” Prophets & Kings, page 548.

*** “The Hebrew word for integrity is 'emeth. Here are a few words that define integrity:
firmness, faithfulness, truth, sureness, reliability, stability, continuance, faithfulness, reliability
truth. As I read those words I see my dad. In today’s Scripture we read that the commander of
the citadel was a man of integrity. Wouldn’t it be great to have political leaders of integrity?
Wouldn't it be great to have spiritual leaders of integrity!”

*** “Hurt people hurt people. Healed people heal people.” I never wanted to hurt anyone. I
have loved opportunities to properly Biblically encourage and counsel others to help them heal.
And during the past 7 years I have done more of such than I have in my whole life! I am very
thankful for that.

***I thought that I had heard and read all aspects of the Prodigal Son parable. But I happened to
hear something new last night via 3ABN Internet TV: The prodigal son learned something his
brother hadn't-- that real freedom was in being with his Father and submitting to his
commandments. That goes along with what Jesus Christ said in John 14-16 and what Galatians
5 indicates.

*** Recently I heard Isaiah 26:3-- “You will keep him [or her] in perfect peace, whose mind is
stayed on You, because he [or she] trusts in You.”

Jeremiah 17:14-- appropriate for me right now

Matthew 5:10-16
“10 ‘Blessed are they who are persecuted for righteousness' sake;
for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.
11 Blessed are you, when men [and women] shall revile you, and persecute you,
and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for My sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad;
for great is your reward in Heaven;
for so persecuted they the prophets who were before you.
13 You are the salt of the Earth;
but if the salt have lost his savor, wherewith shall it be salted?
It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out,
and to be trodden under foot of men.
14 You are the light of the world.
A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel,
but on a candlestick and it gives light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men [and women],
that they may see your good works,
and glorify your Father Who is in Heaven.’”

***James 1:19 “Therefore, my beloved brothers (and sisters), let every man (or woman) be
swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.” The challenge was self-led or Spirit-led.

***Barely saved
Matthew 5:19
“Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so,
he [or she] shall be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven;
but whosoever shall do and teach them,
the same shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.”
1 Corinthians 3:13-15
“Everyone's work shall be made manifest;
for the Day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire;
and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
If one's work survives which he [or she] has built upon,
he [or she] shall receive a reward.
If one's work shall be burned, he [or she] shall suffer loss;
but he [or she] shall be saved, yet so as by fire.”

***He will turn your MESS into a MESSAGE, Your TESTS into a TESTIMONY and make you
a VICTOR instead of a VICTIM!! The message does NOT change… The message changes US!!

***Until the end

Colossians 1:21-23
“And you, who were sometimes alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works,
yet now has He reconciled in the body of His flesh through death,
to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in His sight,
if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast,
and are not moved away from the hope of the Gospel which you heard,
which was preached to every creature under Heaven,
of which I, Paul, became a minister.”
Hebrews 3:6
“but Christ as a Son over His own house,
whose house we are
if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end.”
Hebrews 10:23
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering,
for He who promised is faithful.”
1 Peter 1:13-15
“Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober,
and rest your hopefully upon the grace that is to be brought to you
at the revelation of Jesus Christ, as obedient children,
not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance;
but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,
because it is written, ‘Be holy, for I am holy.’”

Psalms 119:41-44 & 142

“41 Let Your mercies come to me, O Jehovah,

3
even according to Your salvation, according to Your Word.
42 And I shall have something to answer him (or her) who mocks me,
for I trust in Your Word.
43 And take not the Word of truth utterly out of my mouth;
for I have hoped in Your judgments.
44 And I shall keep Your Law continually forever and ever.”
“142 Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness,
and Your Law is the truth.”
143 Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me,
yet Your Commandments are my delight.
144 The righteousness of Your testimonies is everlasting;
give me understanding and I shall live.”

***Mahatma Gandhi is one of the most respected leaders of modern history. A Hindu, Ghandi
nevertheless admired Jesus and often quoted from the Sermon on the Mount. Once when the
missionary E. Stanley Jones met with Ghandi he asked him, "Mr. Ghandi, though you quote the
words of Christ often, why is that you appear to so adamantly reject becoming his follower?"

Ghandi replied, "Oh, I don't reject your Christ. I love your Christ. It's just that so many of you
Christians are so unlike your Christ."

Apparently Ghandi's rejection of Christianity grew out of an incident that happened when he was
a young man practicing law in South Africa. He had become attracted to the Christian faith, had
studied the Bible and the teachings of Jesus, and was seriously exploring becoming a Christian.
And so he decided to attend a church service. As he came up the steps of the large church where
he intended to go, a white South African elder of the church barred his way at the door. "Where
do you think you're going, kaffir?" the man asked Ghandi in a belligerent tone of voice.

Ghandi replied, "I'd like to attend worship here."

The church elder snarled at him, "There's no room for kaffirs in this church. Get out of here or
I'll have my assistants throw you down the steps."

From that moment, Ghandi said, he decided to adopt what good he found in Christianity, but
would never again consider becoming a Christian if it meant being part of the church.

How we treat those others tells people MORE about what we believe, and what following Jesus
means to us, than all the fine sermons we deliver.

***From Mark Stevens:

4
“According to 1 Corinthians 3:1, all Christians can be divided into the two groups, spiritual and
carnal. A spiritual Christian allows the Holy Spirit to guide and govern him to do the perfect will
of the Father. A carnal Christian has been born again but has not overcome the sinful nature of
his flesh. Instead of being governed by the Spirit he is ruled by feelings, emotions, desires, greed,
good or bad intentions, intellectual interpretation etc. etc. Our churches are filled with carnal
believers that don’t depend on the Word for their daily guidance. By rejecting the Word they also
reject the Holy Spirit that speaks the Word to our spirit and mind.”

“Knowledge is the facts. Understanding is the ability to lift the meaning out of the facts, and
Wisdom is knowing what to do next. Since God rarely gives all three gifts to any person, we
need to cooperate and assist each other with our particular gift--in this, as in every area.”

***In relation to the Apostle Paul's list of Christian character traits in Galatians 5:22-26, ask
yourself:
• Have I put on compassion and kindness?
• Have I put on humility, gentleness, patience?
• Can I forgive grievances against others?
• Have I put on love?
• Does the peace of God rule in my heart?
• Am I thankful?
• Does the word of Christ dwell in me?
• Am I singing God's praises?
• Will I do everything in Jesus' name?

***Consider some of the resolutions made by Jonathan Edwards, the Puritan preacher in the
1700s who was one of the two leaders of the Great Awakening:
1. Resolve never to do any manner of thing, whether in soul or body, less or more, but what
tends for the glory of God.
2. Resolve never to lose one moment of time; but improve it the most profitable way I possibly
can.
3. Resolve to live with all my might, while I do live.
4. Resolve never to do anything, which I should be afraid to do, if it were the last hour of my life.

***“You'll go forth a little stronger, with a fresh supply of grace, if each day you meet the Savior
in a secret, quiet place.” —Adams

***"It's not what we profess but what we practice that gives us integrity." Sir Francis Bacon

***“God has revealed so many glorious contradictions in the lives and conduct of genuine
Christian believers that it is small wonder that we are such an amazement to this world. The
Christian is dead and yet he lives forever. He died to himself and yet he lives in Christ. The
Christian saves his own life by losing it and he is in danger of losing it by trying to save it. It is
strange but true that the Christian is strongest when he is weakest and weakest when he is
strongest. When he gets down on his knees thinking he is weak, he is always strong. The
Christian is in least danger when he is fearful and trusting God and in the most danger when he

5
feels the most self-confident. He is most sinless when he feels the most sinful and he is the most
sinful when he feels the most sinless. The Christian actually has the most when he is giving away
the most; and in all of these ways, the Christian is simply putting into daily practice the teachings
and example of Jesus Christ, his Savior and Lord.” A. W. Tozer

***A. W. Tozer inspiring quote:

“Many tender-minded Christians fear to sin against love by daring to inquire into anything that
comes wearing the cloak of Christianity and breathing the name of Jesus. They dare not examine
the credentials of the latest prophet to hit their town lest they be guilty of rejecting something
which may be of God. They timidly remember how the Pharisees refused to accept Christ when
He came, and they do not want to be caught in the same snare, so they either reserve judgment or
shut their eyes and accept everything without question. This is supposed to indicate a high degree
of spirituality. But in sober fact it indicates no such thing. It may indeed be evidence of the
absence of the Holy Spirit. Gullibility is not synonymous with spirituality. Faith is not a mental
habit leading its possessor to open his mouth and swallow everything that has about it the color
of the supernatural. Faith keeps its heart open to whatever is of God, and rejects everything that
is not of God, however wonderful it may be. Try the spirits is a command of the Holy Spirit to
the Church. We may sin as certainly by approving the spurious as by rejecting the genuine. And
the current habit of refusing to take sides is not the way to avoid the question. To appraise things
with a heart of love and then to act on the results is an obligation resting upon every Christian in
the world. And the more as we see the day approaching.”

***Isaiah 55:8-11-- “‘For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways’,
said the LORD. ‘For as the heavens are higher than the Earth, so are My ways higher than your
ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from
heaven, and returned not thither, but watered the earth, and made it bring forth and bud, that it
may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall My Word be that go forth out of My
mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall
prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.’” 2 Timothy 3:16-17-- “All Scripture is given by
inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in
righteousness: That the man [or woman] may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good
works.”

*** Roy Jones: “The meek man is not a human mouse afflicted with a sense of his own
inferiority. Rather he may be in his moral life as bold as a lion and as strong as Samson; but he
has stopped being fooled about himself. He has accepted God’s estimate of his own life. He
knows he is as weak and helpless as God declared him to be, but paradoxically, he knows at the
same time that he is in the sight of God of more importance than angels. In himself, nothing; in
God, everything. That is his motto.”

***We should just do what the Holy Spirit urges, not what society or church or pastors insist that
we do. That is why I live Proverbs 3.5-6 as often as I can. The Apostle Paul only wrote the
word “traditions” twice in the Bible: [Galatians 1:14] “And profited in the Jews' religion above
many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my
fathers.” And [2 Thessalonians 2:15] “Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions
which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.” Did Apostle Paul write about the
Easter or Christmas seasons?

6
***I saw a sermon recently in which the preacher had two cans of vegetables, a can of peas and a
can of corn from WalMart. Then he said what was in the can labeled peas was corn, and there
were only peas in the other can. He said that he had switched the labels. Then he said what
counts is not what someone looks like; but what counts is what he or she is inside. He said many
professing Christians are not Christian inside.

***1 John 2:15-17 “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man or
woman loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him or her. For all that is in the world,
the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of
the world. And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but he or she who does the will of
God abides for ever.”

***1 Peter 2:9 “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, and holy nation a peculiar
people, that you should show forth the praises of Him Who has called you out of darkness into
His marvelous light.”

***Church History-- Christianity began as a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. When it
went to Athens, it became a philosophy. When it went to Rome, it became an organization.
When it went to Europe, it became a culture. When it came to America, it became a business.

***“Satan has ever achieved his greatest successes through the neglect of God's people to maintain
their separation from the world, its customs, its practices and principles. There are but two great
parties among men, the servants of Christ, and the servants of Satan. Their leaders are opposites
in every particular. Our Lord Jesus Christ, Who came to conquer the prince of darkness, says,
‘If ye were of the world, the world would love his own; but because ye are not of the world, but
I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.’ Here Christ makes a marked
distinction between His followers and the world. Those who are of the world are in direct
opposition to those who love God and keep His commandments. The heart must be kept with all
diligence, that the human be not exalted above the Divine. If those who profess to love and serve
God, follow blind impulse, rather than reason and conscience, they will fall by the artifice of
Satan. The affections should be guarded and controlled, lest they be placed upon unworthy
objects that are forbidden in the Word of God.” Signs of the Times, January 7, 1903.

***“Righteousness comes from the Hebrew word tsedachah and its definition (derived from
Isaiah 33:14-16) means rectitude, virtue and justice in behavior. In the Greek, righteousness is
translated from the word dikaiosyne, meaning integrity, virtue, purity of life, rightness,
correctness of thinking, feeling and acting, the condition acceptable to God. We see in these
definitions from both the Hebrew and the Greek that righteousness is synonymous with virtue.
The Greek word for Virtue is dynamis and means inherent power, power residing in a thing by
virtue of its nature. It is from this Greek word dynamis are derived the English words dynamic
and dynamo. In several places of Scripture we see the Power flowing from Yeshua's Life that
healed and delivered from bondage credited to the Virtue, the purity, the excellence of Spirit that
dynamo produced within Him (Mark 5:30, Luke 6:19). The virtue He embraced and lived out
before us is the example of the manner of behavior by which we also acquire that same Virtue.
Righteousness is a virtuous state of being that allows us to come into the Presence of the Father
without being consumed (see the Glory)….

To those who would say they are ‘not under the law’, I would submit to you that when you
choose to not entertain sexual lust in your heart - you are fulfilling the requirement of "the law"
to not commit adultery (Exodus 20:14, Matthew 5:28); when you make a choice to forgive rather
than to hate your brother, you are fulfilling the requirement of "the law" to not murder (Exodus
20:13, 1John 3:15); when you choose to content yourself with what the Father has given you and
do not practice covetousness, you are fulfilling the requirement of the law to not practice idolatry
(Exodus 20:3, Mark 7:21-23); and so on and so on. When you choose to fashion the manner of
your life after Yeshua's (which is the definition of the Greek word akoloutheo translated
"follow"), you fulfill the Essence of the Character of YHVH in selflessness. By patterning your
life after His example, you are fulfilling the fundamental element each of the ordinances
contained in "the law" requires - which is to look upon the things of your brother as more
important than the things of your own (Philippians 2:4). Yeshua said ALL of the law and the
prophets HANG on these two commandments (Matthew 22:37-40). He was saying that IF you
embrace the Essence of these two in all your manner of being - all of the others will be kept
because all of the others are rooted in the same selflessness found in these two. It is a STATE OF
BEING that the law requires of us. Everything given to us from both sides of the Book is an
attempt to illustrate how that STATE OF BEING is personified. He does NOT say that everything
the Father was attempting to illustrate about His Essence, that State of Being, prior to that
statement has now been made non-existent (Matthew 5:17-20, see the law of 100%).”

***“Is There Going to be a National Sunday Law?

http://www.exadventist.com/Home/Articles/NationalSundayLaw/tabid/499/Default.aspx

Bulk mailings of a book on the subject have raised the issue of a National Sunday Law. In short,
it's a non-issue. It's something that will never happen in the United States. It's even less possible
now than it was 150 years ago when Ellen White sounded the "alarm". The Bible doesn't teach
anything about a National Sunday Law in America or an International Sunday Law around the
world. Adventists have come up with it as a scare tactic to get people to join their denomination
and worship on Saturday.

Seventh-day Adventists teach that the "seal of God" is the Sabbath (worshipping on Saturday).
The seal of God is not the Sabbath, the Bible clearly says it is the Holy Spirit:

8
• "In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation –
having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise." Ephesians
1:13
• "Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of
redemption." Ephesians 4:30
• "Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God, who also sealed
us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge." 2 Corinthians 1:21-22

themselves, and in whose eyes Jesus is most glorious and precious.”

***“We fear people because they can expose and humiliate us. 2. We fear people because they
can reject, ridicule, or despise us. 3. We fear people because they can attack, oppress, or threaten
us. These three reasons have one thing in common: they see people as “bigger” (that is, more
powerful and significant) than God, and, out of the fear that creates in us, we give other people
the power and right to tell us what to feel, think, and do.” -- Roy Jones

***President Lincoln who was our 16th President of these United States... He was born in 1809
and died in 1865. He wrote: “We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven;
we have been preserved these many years in peace and prosperity; we have grown in numbers,
wealth, and power as no other nation has ever grown.”

*** Ah, yes, the Wall of Separation clause... That letter by Jefferson has been purposefully
misrepresented for the purpose of removing religion from the public square. Yet, liberals do not
cite the words prior to the phrase "wall of separation":

"The American people declared that their legislature should make no law respecting an
establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, thus building a wall of
separation between Church & State." It is the American People who "thus built" the wall. Why
would they build a wall to keep religion out of their lives? The wall is to keep government out of
religion, not the other way around. No one builds a wall to keep themselves out of their yard; it's
to keep others out of yours. Of course, liberals also believe the Constitution was written to
establish the power of government, rather than the permission slip of the people to be governed.

1. striving-- trying to open a door of opportunity on my own effort
2. frustration
3. burn-out
4. self-promotion
5. selfish ambition
6. shallowness
7. pleading for money

Characteristics of a Holy Spirit-led ministry:

1. historic evidence of the work of Divine Providence of opening and closing doors for ministry
9
2. peace and contentment
3. freshness
4. the promotion of God, not self
5. humility
6. spiritual depth
7. adequate provision

Titus 2:11-15
“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all people, teaching us that, denying
unGodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and Godly, in this present
world; looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior
Jesus Christ; Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify
unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and
rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.”

1 Peter 2:9-12
“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that you
should show forth the praises of Him Who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous
light; who in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: who had not obtained
mercy, but now have obtained mercy. Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims,
abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; living honestly among the non-Christians:
that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they
shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.”

Ephesians 2:10
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before
ordained that we should walk in them.”

~ Priorities for time usage

***In 2007-2009, I have been doing enough warning about the forms of spiritual warfare that are
being used in politics and in churches. Maybe I have done too much. I have lost some “friends”
because of my “watchman on the wall” ministry. Doing a Bible study about “light”, I came to
the conclusion that my Philippians 2:1-5 & 4:4-8, Proverbs 3:5-6, and Jude 20-23 should be my
top priorities for living and sharing.

***bibleloverbill wrote today at 3:29 PM (in the last week of October 2008)
I will be glad on November 4th because I can get back to my main focus of the Internet
ministries I started doing since December 2003 for the Great Commission. I love encouraging
others to live Philippians 2:1-5, Proverbs 3:5-6, and Jude 20-23 more, doing intercessory
praying, and developing Bible study tools. I grieved every day this year as I downloaded articles
that which showed untruthfulness and wrong hopes of the leading Presidential candidates.

Yesterday, I read this from an e-mail from Harold Smith of Israel:

"It is becoming increasingly important during these days of turmoil to recognize that we are in
the time of times spoken of in Scripture. A multitude of believers across this globe are raising
'flags of warning' about a particular happening or the actions of a particular individual of
importance and calling for urgent prayer focus in an attempt to deter the inevitable, catastrophic
events we see occurring all around us. Folks, this is the shaking of which has been foretold. It is

10
not going to make any difference who is elected President of the United States or head of any
nation - this shaking is only going to escalate. The die has been cast, the renting has begun and
no government edict or collaborative body of wisdom or prayer from the fearful of heart is going
to stop this tsunami - I pray you are not holding onto anything but Him for everything that can be
shaken will be.

We must take care that in our desire to live in an environment of tranquil calm, comfort and
stability, we don't find our prayer, and ultimately ourselves, in opposition to God's Plans and
Purposes for this hour. Our kingdom is not of this world. If it were, the Lord would have
instructed us to fight for it (John 18:36). Our paramount effort and prayer in these days should be
directed toward the fulfillment of what is written in the last passage on the last page of the Book
(Revelation 22:20-21) with the understanding that there WILL be turmoil associated with it and
that the light we find within ourselves be not darkness (Luke 11:34-36).

Most of us have a tendency to either live in the past or live in the future. We live in the past by
not letting go of the hurts, wounds and grievances given to us by the words or deeds of others,
often by those closest to us, and we base our actions toward them motivated by what HAS
transpired between us. We live in the future by assessing events we see happening around us and
base the motivation of our present actions by what we perceive WILL HAPPEN. Many believers
today are looking at current events and measuring them to determine how close we are to His
Coming. While we are to be aware of the times and seasons in which we live (Mark 13:28),
Scripture is very clear that no one really knows how or just when it will all transpire. Many think
they do but, at best, it's just a guess based on speculation.

Everything written in Scripture will come to pass exactly as it is written. But guess what? When
He came the first time He fulfilled everything exactly that was written about Him - but, no one
recognized it until AFTER it had happened because they had already made up their minds as to
HOW He was going to bring it all about. In that regard, His Second Coming will be much the
same as His first - it will be veiled. Those who missed His First Coming did so because they
were looking for an EVENT instead of a Person. If we are looking for an event, we will miss
Him because He is coming again as a Person - in His Body.

The events being played out before us today are not the result of 'God's Wrath of Judgment'. God
is not sitting somewhere above the clouds with His 'wacky stick' waiting to smack us for wrong
doing - whether it be us as individuals or as leaders of nations. Yeshua said He did NOT come to
judge the world. He went on to say that there IS a judgment that has come into the world, that
Light has come and men loved darkness more than they loved to bring their deeds into the Light
to see if they are wrought in God - or not. (John 3:17-21), The climactic events we are observing
are the result of the convergence of two distinct entities - Light and Darkness, based upon the
principle of what has been sown shall be reaped (Matthew 13:38-39 - notice that the reapers are
not men, but angels)," http://hethathasanear.com

***Did you know that most banks have their new teller trainees spend many hours handling only
with real money while practicing the teller procedures so that later when they are given
counterfeit money they will know it? Philippians 4:4-8 and 2 Timothy 3:15-16 indicate similar
for Christians to think and do in order to discern the false and deception. So that is why I prefer
to share God's wonderful truths and encourage others to do more personal Bible study and make
appropriate changes towards Christ-likeness.

11
***There are two ways to read the Bible: for selfish reasons and for unselfish reasons. Most
professing Christians do only the former way. I do all I can to encourage others to do the latter
way for making good changes in their ways of thinking and doing. God's truths and ways are
wonderful and result in wonderful feelings of divine peace and divine joy. During a sermon on
Romans 5:1-5, eight ways of relating to the Bible came to my mind. So the ways one should
relate to the Bible are 1.) Read, 2.) Study, 3.) Meditate, 4.) Memorize, 5.) Discuss it, 6.) Counsel
with it, 7.) Prepare a Bible study tool or teach it. Frequently living it should be done everyday by
Christians, but at least one of the others should be done too, preferable several. Reading and
study of the Bible should never be done when an individual is not thinking as Proverbs 3:5-6
says. In other words, reading just to read or just because someone else says so will usually not
have lasting results. To me a key is thinking as Proverbs 3:5-8 commands, and then an
individual can become sensitive to the Holy Spirit, Who Jesus said in John 14-16 would be a
believer’s convictor, comforter, teacher, and guide. The following is my translation of those
important verses:
Trust in the Lord
with all of my heart,
and lean not on my own understanding
or past experiences.
In all my ways acknowledge
(be thankful for) Him,
and He (via the Holy Spirit) shall direct
my thinking and doing.

***There are only two lifestyles according to the Apostle Paul. See Romans 8 and Galatians 5.
And so true Christians will be urged by the Holy Spirit when to properly read the Bible and when
to just think about certain verses and passages. John 16:13 says that the Holy Spirit says what He
hears from Jesus Christ. Because of the latter's human experiences, He knows when each of His
followers need certain reminders and urgings in relation to the Bible.

~ Advice

*** First what did Jesus Christ say should be the attractions of Christianity? What did the
Apostle Paul indicate about such? Didn’t Jesus Christ say “the world will know you are My
disciples by your love for one another”? Romans 14:17 says that “the Kingdom of God is
righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. And Jesus Christ said that if we love Him, we
would obey His commandments and His other teachings. And the love He was talking about is
the unselfish agapè love that we can only receive from God when we are right with Him; it is not
the usually selfish philèo and eros loves that either just happen or we produce. Did you ever
wonder what kind of Christians would be appreciated by victims of a tragedy, the religious ones
or the unselfish compassionate ones? True Christians should be like the Moon reflecting the
Sun’s light, reflecting Jesus Christ (instead of selves) to others. But many professing Christians
are selfish humanists usually with a serious “I” problem. And remember Satan had and has a
serious pride and boasting problem. In your life, who were the individuals in the churches you
attended you liked the most? Why did you decide to be a member in churches?

*** God does not speak in audible voice now. In Philippians 3, the Apostle Paul indicates that
the top priority should be to know intimately or experientially Jesus Christ. And how can we do
that without learning what the Bible says about Him? We should become Bereans and also daily
be more Christ-like to because of our learning.

12
Also, feelings and opinions can be from either the Holy Spirit or the spiritual enemy or
selfishness. We need enough knowledge of the Bible (mostly what is in the New Testament,
especially what is in red in most translations) in order discern properly about feelings and
opinions. But most "Christian preachers" and "Christian writers" are adding or/and subtracting
from the Bible's teachings. That is why my Bible study tools are Scripture passages
compilations or Scripture chapters or books logically formatted (some with thought provoking
questions) with no commentary. My Bible study tools-- http://www.humyo.com/9538789-

***My main emphasis in my ministry is to encourage personal preparation that is indicated in

Philippians 2:1-5 and Jude 20-23. Even Hebrews 10:19-25 indicates such. And Christians
churches should be doing what Ephesians 4:11-16.

***A final challenge I gave Bible study participants one night in my home was that daily we
should become more appropriately Christ-like in our occupations no matter what happens in the
rest of the world. Then the following questions came to my mind to share with them. What
beliefs and purposes for living that you have are you willing to keep no matter what happens? If
you don’t have much of such, then study the Bible to discover what true Christianity is all about.
What ideas and beliefs will you never give up? Also, Christians are supposed to be ambassadors
of God in doing the Great Commission. What does being an ambassador mean? What does
Matthew 28:19-20 really mean for you? Who and what are you willing to even die for? It
should be more than just conservative ideals. If the pre-Trib rapture theory is wrong and the
USA and Europe start experiencing Christian persecution like is currently happening in some of
the Third World countries, would you be ready with enough Bible knowledge and faith in God’s
promises to not forsake Jesus Christ or the Gospel?

When I have read reports about how Christians throughout history became martyrs, I have felt
that I was not ready then. When I have read reports and e-mails about what is happening in some
of the Third World countries currently, I have felt that I was not ready to face similar treatment,
like being beaten up and threatened death by Muslims. In my past, I have been slandered and
betrayed by “Christians”. I have been unjustly fired from Christian school teaching positions,
wrongly forsaken by pastors, and divorced by vow-breakers. I confessed my wrongs and have
given up bad habits, and I know that I would not have been blessed so much in my current
Internet ministry since December 2003 if I had not dealt properly with the negatives in my past. I
just focus on living Proverbs 3:5-6 and becoming more Christ-like while doing what I can for the
Great Commission. But I know that I will need much more supernatural help to respond properly
to the coming world-wide tribulation. I am living in spiritually apathetic Germany and I think the
severe rough times will begin in the USA, and so I am daily encouraging individuals in the USA
to learn more Bible, especially God's promises and about Jesus Christ, so that they can be good
representatives of God when Christians are being severely persecuted in their country. Some of
the just mentioned is already happening via the unpublicized great increase severe health and
financial challenges to consecrated Christians. I know that there have been many encouraged by
these saints' examples of divine peace and divine joy while they suffer. This is another meaning
of Romans 14:17. True Christians will usually respond to challenges differently than those who
are not adopted children of God. I am determined not to forsake my Savior and Lord no matter
what happens to me.

13
***English language has certain rules that should be obeyed. I like the English Bible
translations which do have capitalized deity pronouns because such helps for understanding. I
also capitalize the first letter of Earth, Christian, and Bible because they are definitely proper
nouns. Our planet is very important to God and yet so many do not indicate it is at least name of
a particular place, and yet they do so for the other planets names after mythological gods. Our
solar system's Sun and Moon are also particular, unique things too. The Moon reflects the Sun's
light, just as Christians should reflect the light (truth) of Jesus Christ.

***I don't say Satan is my major problem because he is not able to be everywhere and all
knowing like many preachers and Christians imply in their statements about him. And Flip
Wilson was very wrong to say “the Devil made me do it.” Not even the Apostle Paul claimed
being hassled by Satan, only a demon. And if a lot more Christians would live as if they really
believe that God is everywhere and all knowing, they would not say and do a lot of selfish and
bad things they say and do, even in church.

***“Rest a while”
How did Jesus reveal His understanding of the need for rest?
Mark 6:31. Consider Matthew 11:28.
NOTE: “Though time is short, and there is a great work to be done, the Lord is not pleased to
have us so prolong our seasons of activity that there will not be time for periods of rest, for the
study of the Bible, and for communion with God-All this is essential to fortify the soul, to place
us in a position where we shall receive wisdom from God to employ our talents in the Master's
service to the highest account.” Youth's Instructor, February 3rd 1898.

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart”

Does our attitude to life affect our health? Proverbs 17:22.
NOTE: “The relation that exists between the mind and the body is very intimate. When one is
affected, the other sympathizes. The condition of the mind affects the health to a far greater
degree than many realize. Many of the diseases from which men suffer are the result of mental
depression. Grief, anxiety, discontent, remorse, guilt, distrust, all tend to break down the life
forces and to invite decay and death. Disease is sometimes produced, and is often greatly
aggravated, by the imagination. Many are lifelong invalids who might be well if they only
thought so. Courage, hope, faith, sympathy, love, promote health and prolong life. A contented
mind, a cheerful spirit, is health to the body and strength to the soul, Gratitude, rejoicing,
benevolence, trust in God's love and care, these are health's greatest safeguard. The power of the
will and the importance of self-control both in the preservation and in the recovery of health,
the depressing and even ruinous effect of anger, discontent, selfishness, or impurity, and, on the
other hand, the marvelous life-giving power to be found in cheerfulness, unselfishness, gratitude
should also be shown. There is a physiological truth, truth that we need to consider, in the
Scripture, ‘A merry [rejoicing] heart doeth good like a medicine.’ The true principles of
Christianity open before all a source of inestimable happiness. We should encourage a cheerful,
hopeful, peaceful frame of mind; for our health depends upon our so doing.” My Life Today,
page 151.

***RESPONSIBILITIES
"Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the Law of CHRIST. For each one shall bear his
own load." [Galatians 6.2 & 5]

This is not a contradiction in HOLY SCRIPTURE though frequently sited as such. This is two

14
separate, equally valid commandments. The Apostle Paul commanded us to bear other's burdens,
or "heavy load" - nonetheless we must bear our own burden, or "responsibility."

When a fellow CHRISTian has been stricken, overtaken with a great burden - sickness, death of
a loved one or another problem in life -- he needs desperately the love and support of his brother.
GOD'S EDIFYING WORD declares that when we help relieve this burden, we "fulfill the Law
of CHRIST." "For all the Law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: 'You shall love your
neighbor as yourself.'" [Galatians 5:14]

At the same time, the privilege of having faithful friends who will share and help with an
otherwise unbearable load does not absolve us from the responsibility of doing our own part in
carrying out our GOD-given responsibilities. It is essential that we "aspire to lead a quiet life,
to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands...that you may walk properly
toward those who are outside, and that you may lack nothing." [1 Thessalonians 4:11-12]

Every man is urged to examine and prove his own work [Galatians 6. 4] lest he deceive himself.
The OMNIPOTENT ALMIGHTY ONE created and gave HIS ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON to
redeemed us, we can be sure that HE is most concerned about us and will not allow trials or
burdens upon us that are too grievous and excessive for us to bear. "No temptation has
overtaken you except such as is common to man; but GOD IS FAITHFUL, WHO will not
allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make
the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it." [1 Corinthians 10:13]

To Lisa in Texas.
I'm still alive and kicking, and I read the comments to the articles on Jeff's blog without fail.
Yours are always serious, well thought out, and substantive.
To be frank, I've been limiting my participation in the forum of reader commentary
intentionally. My highest priority in life is my relationship to God through Jesus Christ and I
need to avoid letting my intense interest in matters political to totally absorb my mind and
emotions.
I believe that, without question, the root of the problems we face as a nation are simply the
visible manifestation of the battle that commenced at the beginning of time between God and
Satan for the soul of mankind and the outcome of that battle pivots on Jesus Christ. It follows
that if we view the world around us through that prism, everything that's going on starts to fall
into place.
I know, at least to some, such statements within the context of AR will be inflammatory and
the last thing that I want is for my inability to separate the spiritual from the political to distract
Jeff's primary audience from his from his intended purpose for AR. Jeff's focus on political
issues and solutions based on Conservative values is playing a vital role in reclaiming America
and I support him 100% in that effort.
But thanks for asking, Lisa, and keep it up with your comments. You make a valuable
contribution to “America's Right”.

Thanks! I agree with your comments 100%! Priorities ARE important, and I find myself
thinking the same things...and I also believe that the true root of these worldly and political
battles are spiritual. I think that's why recent politics fascinates me so much...I see the
implications and connections to what God says will eventually happen.
Great to “hear from you”!

Old Bob - good to see you back on here. I appreciate your comments and your priorities. I,
too, read all articles and comment only occasionally. I also believe that this is a battle with
powers and principalities. All this has been going on since Satan's fall and will continue until he
is cast into the lake of fire. I pray consistently on how to effectively deal with the politics of
today. I don't want to get too wrapped up and I don't want to abstain from being involved either.
Thanks for the encouragement brother!!!

***Proverbs 17:17
“A friend loves at all times,
and a brother is born for adversity.”

What do you think that this means? That a brother is born for [assistance through your]
adversity? or That a brother is born for [a means to cause you] adversity? To me, Proverbs 17:17
means to be a friend forever, even in challenging or adverse times. Most friendships are only
when times are good or when things are being said and done as expected. Married couples
should be best Proverbs 17:17 friends, but I have seen only a few couples where that seemed to
be the case. It is too bad that there are not more Proverbs 17:17 friendships. I agree that the
wording that you wrote seems to be strange, but it means that such a dedicate friend has been
spiritually reborn (see John 3) so that he or she will remain being a friend even in times of
hardship, affliction, and misfortune. Many have forsaken their “friends” and even spouses during
those severe challenges. I have been such a victim many times. You know about some of them.
That is why I have been so glad for the Romans 8:28 promise. Have you read Job? There are so
many friends like those three “friends” who verbally challenged him while he was suffering from
severe losses and from a bad health condition. But like our friendship, you were a friend for me
after the personal problems I had in Albuquerque and later in Idaho and I was still your friend
when you had had severe challenges by co-workers and during your recent marriage and court
challenges.

***Luke 14:26-- In comparing proper loving God as the First Great Commandment indicates,
our love for relating to any of our relatives and even our own life should be extremely less and
could be considered as hate by any who don’t understand. The Apostle Paul said that he had to
die daily and many true Christians have had to leave their parents or other relatives in order to do
their Great Commission callings or assignments from God. A true disciple of Jesus Christ
should also be willing to give up even his or her desired lifestyle or plans to do the just
mentioned. Others might see such changes and say that the individual hates either his or her
relatives or/and way of living.

16
***Proverbs 16:8 tells us “Better is a little with righteousness, than great revenues without
right.”

Jesus Christ said, John 15:10-13 “If you keep My commandments [if you continue to obey My
instructions], you will abide in My love {and} live on in it, just as I have obeyed My Father's
commandments and live on in His love. I have told you these things, that My joy {and} delight
may be in you, and that your joy {and} gladness may be of full measure {and} complete {and}
overflowing. This is My commandment: that you love one another [just] as I have loved you. No
one has greater love [no one has shown stronger affection] than to lay down (give up) his own
life for his friends.”

***Stop thinking and saying “falling in love”. When one physically falls, he or she usually gets
hurt. So instead think that God is blessing you by resurrecting or raising you and him for agapè
love. That is more Biblical. Remember the triangle of agapè love? God is at the top and as each
of the couple loves Him more and moves up on the right or the left lines, they get closer to each
other. Also remember that the order of the Two Great Commandments: loving God all you can
comes before loving others. If you are living Proverbs 3:5-6, the Holy Spirit will guide you when
and how you should say and do in relation to others. While you wait for such urgings, you should
be communing with God especially thankfulness. The results of the above indicated will result in
decreased selfishness, increased righteousness or Christ-likeness, divine peace, and divine joy.
The Kingdom of God as indicated in Romans 14:17 is for God's adopted children now. So think
“spiritually onward and upward for God and agapè”.

***1 Corinthians 10:13 “For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how
it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you {and} laid hold on you that is not common to man
[that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not
adjusted and adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is
faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be
tempted {and} tried {and} assayed beyond your ability {and} strength of resistance {and} power
to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of
escape to a landing place), that you may be capable {and} strong {and} powerful to bear up
under it patiently.”

***There is another meaning of the Kingdom of God: Jesus Christ indicated what the Apostle
Paul later wrote in his epistle to the Christians in Rome. “And when He was demanded of the
Pharisees, when the Kingdom of God should come, He answered them and said, 'The Kingdom
of God does not come with observation; neither shall they say, 'See here!' or, 'see there' for,
indeed, the Kingdom of God is within you.” [Luke 17:20-21] Romans 14:17 says, “For the
Kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.”
Doing 1 John 1:9 and any needed repentance, we can restore our Christian righteousness and
then receive divine peace and joy from God.” So Christian churches should be full of excited
people who are full of peace and joy.

***Agapè love helps true Christians obey the Ten Commandments and the many
commandments in the New Testament and Psalms and Proverbs. One doesn't say and do things
against others if he or she has the agapè love from God. And Jesus Christ even said we are to
agapè love our enemies. God gave me an idea to help with that: Think of a 1-10 scale where 1-2
would be for those against you, 3-5 for people you see in the news and acquaintances, 6-8 for
good friends, and 9-10 for best friend or/and spouse.

17
Read John 13. What is the context that helps us understand what this “new commandment” is?
The context is Last Supper before Jesus Christ had to die on the cross. Jesus and the 12 main
Disciples had just finished eating and Jesus decided to do what a house servant (but there was
probably not in that setting of the Upper Room) or even one of the Disciples should have offered
to do: Jesus “laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself. After that, He poured
water into a basin and began to wash the Disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel with
which He was girded.” Can you imagine what the Disciples must have thought since they had
only seen examples of Him as a teacher, a healer, fearlessly talking to demons before forcing
them to leave individuals, and being courageous and very tactful when challenged by the
religious leaders? And He also warned them about His being betrayed by one of them and sent
Judas Iscariot to do what he needed to do. The Disciples just thought that happened because he
was the treasurer or purse keeper for the group. But remember even Judas had his feet washed
by Jesus and after eating the piece of bread that Jesus gave to him, Satan entered him. After
Judas left, Jesus then warned the other Disciples that He would soon be leaving and returning to
God the Father in Heaven. Then He began telling them what their main focus should be:
relating to each other by unselfish agapè love, like He had demonstrated in the unexpected foot
washing. Serving others with no selfish motives is the best way to manifest agapè love from
God. Phileo and eros are usually done with selfish motives.

***Keeping the Commandments (1 John 2:3-5)

Anyone can say that they know God. In fact, a lot of people have done that, even people in
John's day. Many do today, as well. Talk, though, is cheap.

For John, what was the outward evidence, the outward proof, that a person knows God? What
else does John say about this topic?
John 14:15 & 21-- Jesus Christ said that keeping His commandments shows that one loves
Him.
John 15:10-- Keeping the commandments of Jesus Christ results in abiding or living in His
agapè love, as He has done in relation to His Father.
1 John 3:22-- Keeping the commandments of God and doing those things that are pleasing in
God’s sight will result in our prayers being answered.
1 John 3:24-- Keeping the commandments of God results in living in God and God living in him
or her, and the Holy Spirit gives the assurance about the latter.
1 John 5:3-- Such commandment keeping “is the love of God” and is not burdensome or tough.
Revelation 12:17-- Such commandment keeping is a sign of those who are truly members of the
Church of Jesus Christ, and Satan is at war against them.
Revelation 14:12-- Such commandment keeping and faith of Jesus is the patience of the
adopted children of God during the End Times.
How do these verses tie in with each other? They all relate to obeying God’s Law and the
teachings of Jesus Christ even after being born again. How do they affirm us, as Adventists, in
our position about the Law? We don’t believe that God’s Law was nailed to the cross that Jesus
died on. Jesus Christ said:
“17 Think not that I am come to destroy the Law or the prophets;
I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.
18 For verily I say unto you, until Heaven and Earth pass,
one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the Law until all be fulfilled.”
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments,
and shall teach others so,

18
he [or she]shall be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven;
but whosoever shall do and teach them,
the same shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.
20 For I say unto you,
that except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and
Pharisees,
you shall in no case enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.” (Matthew 5:17-
20)

Keeping the commandments is very important to John and to Jesus. The phrase occurs quite
often in John's writings. Keeping the commandments is a sign that we know God/Jesus and love
Him. Love and obedience are connected here. The term Him can refer to either God the Father or
Jesus and is somewhat ambiguous-- probably on purpose too. First John 2:4 states the same truth
in negative terms, and may refer to a false claim made by those who say that you can come to
know God and yet neglect keeping the commandments. John attacks this idea in very strong
language, calling anyone who teaches it a liar.

Why would keeping the Law reveal our knowledge of God? How does our act of keeping the
Law reveal the reality of our knowledge of God? How is one related to the other? Because we
cannot keep or live what we don’t know. We cannot properly obey God’s Law without knowing
about God the Father and Jesus Christ from what the Bible states. And there is a huge
difference between religious legalism and being righteous by doing what is pleasing to God the
Father and Jesus Christ just because we love them and are so thankful for them. And there is
too much modern day Phariseeism in Christian churches and such a low number of true
disciples of Jesus Christ and the Bible.

The kind of knowledge of God that the Bible talks about isn't merely a cognizance of facts. It's a
knowledge that forms the basis of a love relationship. You can't truly love someone you don't
know. And if you love someone, you are going to act a certain way. A man who truly loves his
wife isn't going to cheat on her. He can profess his love day and night, and yet if his actions don't
reveal that love, then he is, to use John's term, “a liar”.

“It is indeed an interesting thought that maybe "ever after" is too long and, of course, long-
married couples get bored from time to time. However, my husband and I have been been for 61
years, 8 months, 27 days, 17 hours and 47 minutes. We have lived through raising four chldren,

two major tragedies, breast cancer, chronic fatigue syndrome (21 years), and traveling 400,000
miles together in a car while I spoke on breast cancer issues. We have discussed divorce, twice

But NOTHING could convince us to give up our 61 years of shared history, memories,
companionship, compassion, and continuing passion. We work on ways to guarantee one another
the autonomy, solitude, and living out of our dreams we desire. My third award-winning book,

***“And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward
them, and He healed their sick...” Matthew 14:14 The Greek word for “compassion” is
“splanch-nizomai,” which won't mean much to you unless you are in the health professions and
studied “splanchnology” in school. If so, you remember that “splanchnology” is a study of... the
gut.

When Matthew writes that Jesus had compassion on the people, he is not saying that Jesus felt
casual pity for them. NO, the term is far more graphic. Matthew is saying that Jesus felt their
hurt in His gut:
> > He felt the limp of the crippled.
> > He felt the hurt of the diseased.
> > He felt the loneliness of the leper.
> > He felt the embarrassment of the sinful.

from Grace For the Moment by Max Lucado

*** God gives divine appointments for witnessing to others to any true Christian. There is great
evangelism being done by true Christians who are facing severe health challenges; their
manifesting of divine peace and divine joy are great encouragers to others (even in hospitals like
the nurses, doctors, other patients, other visitors) to inquire about true Christian beliefs and the
full Gospel. Another way to evangelize is just to be available to go to those in need, like in a
hospital emergency room, a park, a cemetery, or even in residences streets. The Dream Center
encourages some to walk in certain neighborhoods, be observant, ask people questions about
needs or the Gospel. And there are many other ways to evangelize. The Holy Spirit is the expert
guide and so we just have to live Proverbs 3:5-6 to be sensitive to His directions. John 16:13 says
that He is telling what He hears. He hears Jesus Christ because Jesus knows when a Christian
needs to share certain truths to others (because He experienced being a human being).

Also, intercessory praying is very important for evangelism and for true Holy Spirit submissive
Christian evangelists. There have been a lot of elderly ladies and crippled individuals who have
been wonderful prayer supporters of Christian evangelists and other preachers and teachers. And
many who are doing the Great Commission fulltime do need financial support. But remember the
first Christians did not build or rent for church buildings. They went house to house for
fellowship and spiritual learning and witnessing.

***Revelation 3:14-22
The last church mentioned in the Epistles of Jesus Christ is Laodicea. Historically it was the
rich/poor church. For the last Christian church age it represents the current popular, self-satisfied,

20
worldly churches. It is in “the Last Days” mentioned in Bible prophecies. Characteristics of most
current “Christians”: luke-warmness, spiritual conceit, no conscious need, spiritual poverty,
spiritual blindness, and spiritual wretchedness. Rewards for the true Christians: divine fellowship
and spiritual enthronement.

***The United States Constitution is the longest government document and the United States has
the longest time of no violent power transitions. The most arguing was about the Articles of
Confederation which was created before the Constitution. The Democrats have wanted a
Constitutional Convention in order to change it drastically for socialism. United States was
changed from a republic to a democracy in 1914 because President Woodrow Wilson, who was a
Presbyterian, took advice from Col. House (who actually was a communist). The state
legislature choosing of United States Senators was changed to the direct election of the just
mentioned and the Federal Banking System was established. President Reagan and the latter
Presidents were wrong to promote democracy.

I wrote a course on Genesis of the United States History up to the Pilgrims and have done
research about the Founding Fathers and the time just before the Revolutionary War. The United
States has been the most blessed country in human history (yes, even more than Israel) because
of the way it started. The Founding Fathers came from the only country in which the people
were allowed (and even encouraged by the leader) to have the Bible in their homes and use them.
At that time the Roman Catholic Church (which dominated Europe) opposed such except for the
priests. Queen Elizabeth hated that church because of what they did to her dad (King Henry
VIII) and she couldn't do the marriage, divorce, remarriage, divorce, remarriage etc. So she did
the campaign of getting the Geneva Bible (with John Calvin notes, which the later King James
hated) into English homes. And with Biblical and historical knowledge, the Founding Fathers
tried to create the Constitution to keep the USA as a republic (not a democracy which leads to
anarchy or/and dictatorship) and have peaceful changes of power after elections. And the USA
is the only country with God in its National Motto which is on its money. But humans tend to
sin and go against God's desires because of selfishness and look what has happened since the
beginning of the country for religious freedom and safety. I have a group of good articles
expressing concerns about the USA from the Christian perspective. But it is not just the
criminals, liberal media (including Hollywood), and politicians that are the problem. I believe
that most of the pastors and famous preachers are a huge part of the problem, because they are
not teaching what pleases and displeases God or using the Scriptures properly. I do a lot of
praying for all of the leaders.

***Time Magazine (April 20, 1981 p.62) reports, “... there is an UNPRECEDENTED
CONFUSION of choices in Bibles. Never have so many major new translations been on the
market.” Since 1880, over 200 different translations have appeared. Every six months a new
English version appears! NO WONDER PEOPLE ARE CONFUSED! The question has to be
asked-- is God the author of this flood of new versions? Is God the author of CONFUSION in
His word? 1 Corinthians 14:33, clearly states, “God is NOT the author of CONFUSION.” BUT
SATAN IS! He knows, if he can plant the smallest seed of doubt and confusion-- that individual
will not take God’s word serious!

***Adults and Students At Risk:

Researchers continue to come up with increasingly grave statistics that explain how serious the
condition is.
Among Christian adults:

21
• 64% believe moral truth depends on the situation;
• 60% believe male/female co-habitation outside of marriage is acceptable;
• 55% believe a good person can earn his or her salvation;
• 44% believe Jesus Christ committed sins while on Earth.

And consider the peril of college students:

• 67% of college professors approve of homosexuality;
• 84% of professors approve of abortion;
• 65% embrace socialist and communist ideals;
• 88% of students from “Christian” homes deny their faith before they graduate from
college;
• 91% of students from evangelical churches do not believe in absolute moral truth.

***“Among the hundreds of thousands of lukewarm professing Christians who are ‘lovers of
pleasures more than lovers of God’ (2 Timothy 3:4) and who place prophecy on the back burner
because Christ's return calls for preparedness and holiness (1 John 3:2-3) such carnal believers
declare: ‘we have always had wars, famines, pestilences, earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes and
typhoons. So how can these be signs pointing to Christ's second coming?’ By their ‘ho-hum-it
could be another thousand years’ actions and words-they actually become one of the signs. 2
Peter 3:3-4 states: ‘Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking
after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell
asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.’ To Scripturally
counter such disparaging statements made by deep freeze, ‘Laodicean’ church members
(Revelation 3:14-17)-- Daniel 12:3 ‘And the teachers {and} those who are wise shall shine like
the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness (to uprightness and
right standing with God) [shall give forth light] like the stars forever and ever.’ What is God
doing? Fulfilling Isaiah 38 and Zechariah 14.”

***Revelation 9:7 & 12-21--

“The first angel blew [his] trumpet, and there was a storm of hail and fire mingled with blood
cast upon the earth. And a third part of the Earth was burned up and a third of the trees was
burned up and all the green grass was burned up.”

“The first woe (calamity) has passed; behold, two others are yet to follow. Then the sixth angel
blew [his] trumpet, and from the four horns of the golden altar which stands before God I heard a
solitary voice, saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, Liberate the four angels who are
bound at the great river Euphrates. So the four angels who had been in readiness for that hour in
the appointed day, month, and year were liberated to destroy a third of mankind. The number of
their troops of cavalry was twice ten thousand times ten thousand (200,000,000); I heard what
their number was. And in [my] vision the horses and their riders appeared to me like this: the
riders wore breastplates the color of fiery red and sapphire blue and sulphur (brimstone) yellow.
The heads of the horses looked like lions' heads, and from their mouths there poured fire and
smoke and sulphur (brimstone). A third of mankind was killed by these three plagues--by the
fire and the smoke and the sulphur (brimstone) that poured from the mouths of the horses. For
the power of the horses to do harm is in their mouths and also in their tails. Their tails are like
serpents, for they have heads, and it is by means of them that they wound people. And the rest of
humanity who were not killed by these plagues even then did not repent of [the worship of] the
works of their [own] hands, so as to cease paying homage to the demons and idols of gold and
silver and bronze and stone and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor move. And they did

22
not repent of their murders or their practice of magic (sorceries) or their sexual vice or their
thefts.”

***I was very surprised when I was told about the passage in Luke 17 that Noah is mentioned
and then the famous one remained and one was taken away. With the verses that say when Jesus
comes back that He will destroy by fire after His followers come to Him either going to Heaven
or the New Earth could be starting from that time. The SDA denomination believes that there
will be a 1000-year period where the believers are in Heaven and Satan is all alone on a
devastated world with no one to tempt. After that time, the non-believers are resurrected for the
final battle with Satan and his followers and final judgment takes place followed by the making
of the New (or purified) Earth. I am not convinced by that theory.

***The number six denotes the human number. Man was created on the sixth day; and this first
occurrence of the number makes it (and all multiples of it) the hallmark of all connected with
man. He works six days. The hours of his day are a multiple of six. Athaliah usurped the throne
of Judah six years. The number is the number of labor. The serpent also was created on the sixth
day. Cain’s descendants are given only as far as the sixth generation.

Six times Yeshua was accused with having a devil:

1. Mark 3:22
2. John 8:20
3. John 8:48
4. John 8:52
5. John 10:20
6. Luke 11:15

“And now, if you hearken well to Me and observe My covenant, you shall be to Me the most
beloved treasure of all peoples, for Mine is the entire world.”

God’s people are:

1. A separated people. Exodus 33:16
2. A People of inheritance. Deuteronomy 4:23
3. A special People. Deuteronomy 7:6
4. A purchased People Exodus 15:16 & Psalm 74:2
5. A holy People. Deuteronomy 7:6; 14:1
6. A redeemed People. Exodus 15:13
7. A sanctified People. Isaiah 63:18

Replacement theology is inconsistent with Romans 11:17-26, Ephesians 2:11-22, and other
references at Matthew 5:5. We can put it this way: Christians are indeed a chosen people, priests
for the King, a holy nation (in a metaphorical sense), a people sat aside for God to possess not by
way of superseding the Jews as God’s people, but by way of being joined to them by faith in the
same God. A so-called Christian who opposes or looks down on the Jews as merely God’s
former people has missed the point altogether and is probably not a Christian at all.

NOTES FROM TORAH CLASS

***Consider the case of Korah. When we see him in the book of Numbers, he is leading a
rebellion against Moses and Aaron. As a result of his rebellion, he and his company died.
However, Korah's sons did not die (Numbers 16:1-40, Numbers 26:9-11). If you look at Psalm
42, you'll notice that it is a song that enforces a lesson in wisdom or piety, written by the sons of
Korah. While Korah unrepentantly sinned and paid for it, his sons did not follow their father's
rebellious ways. Generations later, the son's of Korah are noted for writing one of the most
beloved Psalms of all time.

***More recently, Chuck Norris and his wife, Gena, joined the board of directors of the National
Council on Bible Curriculum In Public Schools with the quest of helping students understand the
Bible's impact on history and literature. Both Norrises are featured in a popular television public
service announcement that encourages citizens to bring the Bible back to America's public
schools as an available elective course of study. The announcements are aired on several national
networks. The Norris announcements inform viewers that they can call the National Council on
Bible Curriculum in Public Schools to receive information on how any citizen can help their
local school board implement the NCBCPS curriculum.

*** I thought that I had heard and read all aspects of the Prodigal Son parable. But I happened
to hear something new last night via 3ABN Internet TV: The prodigal son learned something his
brother hadn't-- that real freedom was in being with his Father and submitting to his
commandments. That goes along with what Jesus Christ said in John 14-16 and what Galatians
5 indicates.

*** Acts 2:22-29 & 32-36

Apostle Peter proclaimed,
“22 Men, Israelites, hear these words. Jesus of Nazareth,
a man approved of God among you by powerful works, and wonders and miracles,
which God did through Him in your midst,
as you yourselves also know,
23 this One given to you by the before-determined counsel and foreknowledge of God,
you have taken and by lawless hands, crucifying Him, you put Him to death;
24 whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death,
because it was not possible that He should be held by it.
25 For David speaks concerning Him, ‘I foresaw The LORD always before me,
because He is at my right hand, that I should not be moved.
26 Therefore my heart rejoiced and my tongue was glad;
and also My flesh shall rest in hope,
27 because You will not leave My soul in Hades,
nor will You allow Your holy One to see corruption.
28 You revealed to Me the ways of life.
You will fill Me with joy with Your countenance.’
25 For David speaks concerning Him, ‘I foresaw The LORD always before me,
because He is at my right hand, that I should not be moved.
26 Therefore my heart rejoiced and my tongue was glad;
and also My flesh shall rest in hope,
27 because You will not leave My soul in Hades,
nor will You allow Your holy One to see corruption.
28 You revealed to Me the ways of life.
You will fill Me with joy with Your countenance.’
29 Men, brothers, it is permitted to say to you with plainness as to the patriarch David,
that he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.
24
35 until I place Your enemies as a footstool to Your feet.’
36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God made this same Jesus,
Whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.”

***Back in 1982, I did research about Columbus. He was a converted Jew to Christianity.
Many entries in his diary had Bible verses and during his time no priest Roman Catholics were
not permitted to read the Bible. The Gutenberg printed Bible was available where Columbus
was raised. He also received the needed support from Jewish businessmen to influence the King
and the Queen of Portugal to approve his voyage. But he most likely did not actually see the
land of the future USA, so we were lied to about him discovering our country. But two other
Italians did: John Cabot and Giovanni da Verrazano. Many times, God's providence has been
three. And God preserved the East Coast for the only nation in Europe which allowed the Bible
in its homes. Queen Elizabeth decided to go against the Roman Catholic Church by encouraging
the English citizens to have the Geneva Bible in their homes. She could not do the marriage and
divorce things her dad (King Henry VIII) did. So the Founding Fathers of the USA were raised
to be Bible students and God kept the Spanish, Portuguese, and French explorers from officially
settling the East Coast of the future USA and providing monks to begin Roman Catholic
churches.

“On August 3, 1492 Columbus set sail with three ships the Niña, the Pinta and the Santa Maria
and 87 men. (The flag of the main ship, the Santa Maria is shown on the left.) Columbus
reached America on October 12, 1492. Actually he had not been sailing for all that time. He had
first arrived in the Canary Islands and left them on September 6th. He did not find a new route
to India, but found for Spain a land rich with gold, silver and spices. He was convinced that he
had found a new route to Asia and the East Indies. He thought that Cuba was actually
somewhere in Asia and that the island of Hispanola (where the Dominican Republic and Haiti
are now located) was just off the coast of China. He also found the native people. He
supposedly called them Indians because he thought they were from the Indies. Columbus
returned to Spain in 1493 bringing with him not only treasures, but also some of these natives.
(The picture on the left is a panel from the main door of the US Capital. It is called the
Columbus Door and has 8 panels showing scenes from Columbus' life. Just in front of
Columbus you can see two of the Native American people.) Queen Isabella became the
protector of the Native Americans. Queen Isabella established laws against the abuse of the
Native American people by colonists and adventurers.”

***John Smith was not part of the pilgrims, but they used his maps I think. He was a true
Christian and many of the other sailors on the English ship for exploration did not like his
apparent spiritual boldness and even tried him for executing him before they got to the New
World. I don't remember the details now, but you might like to do some research about him.
But be careful, there has been a lot of revisionist rewriting of USA history by the extreme liberal
historians. I learned time and time again when I was doing such research that those we were
taught were heroes should have been classified as bums and vice versa. I was so happy when I
was paid to learn the real truths about our heritage. Looking at history, even each of our personal
histories, seeking the providential viewpoint (God's viewpoint) instead of the humanistic
viewpoint was exciting for me. It is like using different glasses to read and the second pair are
much much better quality or stronger. But I found that some of the long time ago historians
acknowledged God or at least providence even though they were not Christians. In other words,
like most scientists have discovered, they discovered that there were happenings they could not
humanistically or logically explain. The Holy Spirit will tell you what is true and what isn't true
about history that you read. I did not know that until 1979 when I did my first USA history
25
course research and writing for a college textbook study guide and then later when I wrote “the
Genesis of the United States” course. Both did not get published because one of the two
textbooks for the study guide went out of print forever and my employer for the latter went
bankrupt. So from now on live Proverbs 3:5-6 before you read any writings about USA history.

***What was the Salvation good news (Gospel) preached before Jesus Christ went to die for the
sins of humankind? I have never heard that taught or preached. After the Resurrection of Christ,
the Gospel was added to of course as indicated in the teachings in the Epistles.

***And after rebirth Salvation, when unselfishness increases as we heed to Holy Spirit and Bible
urgings for changes towards Christ-like thinking and righteousness, we become better adopted
children of God. Repentance is not just done before the rebirth experience. Sanctification is not
automatic as many preach; it takes daily commitments by each of us.

***What do you think of the new comedy movie about a modern day Noah and the movie that it
was a sequel of? What did you think of the plays and movies modernizing Jesus Christ into
something He wasn't? And what do you think of the skits in church modernizing Bible stories?

***The Jews in Jesus Christ human form time did not celebrate birthdays. Recent research
concerning Christ's birthday has revealed an astrological event (Jupiter eclipsed by the moon§)
on April 17, 0006 BC (This would make Jesus an Aries, sign of the Ram) which the Magi would
mark as the birth of a king and warrant a search with three gifts (Gold, Frankincense, & Myrrh†)
for the new king.

Footnotes:
§The discovery of a 2,000-year-old coin depicting Aries the ram leaping up at a star prompted
astronomer Michael Molnar, of Rutgers University in the United States, to link the image to the
birth of Christ. While Judea was frequently symbolized by Aries, astrological events at the time
also reveal how Jupiter was eclipsed by the moon around the time of Christ's birth. Concluding
that this was Christ's birthday and the Star of Bethlehem was in fact Jupiter, April 17, 6BC.
†Gold, symbol for worldly wisdom, Frankincense, devotional offering to God and Myrrh,
symbol for the victory of life over death.

***I am not for the Christmas traditions anymore. There is a reason why a specific day was not
mentioned in the Bible for the most important birth. December 25th was chosen by a Roman
Catholic Pope. And the addition of Santa Claus influencing parents to lie to their children about
someone who is supposed to have God-like attributes (remember the famous song about him).
President Bush changed the White House Christmas Tree to the Holiday Tree so that non-
Christians would not be offended anymore and he believes that God the Father and Allah are the
same. Obama probably agrees.

***Did you realize that the Hallmark Cards do not have the truth in their version of the
birthplace of Jesus Christ? The Wisemen did not have a private airplane or Star Trek transporter.
Also, there is no command in the Bible to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and no proof that
December 25th was the day. We taught my 4 children the truths about Christmas and Santa
Claus, but many parents don't and later their children doubt what they said about Jesus Christ and
the Gospel was true.

26
***Even though Jesus Christ was really born either in April or August before the December 25th
of that year, the Christmas season still can be used for good witnessing. And what a sacrifice He
made for us. He gave up wonderful Heaven and His power to come to Earth and begin as a baby
in a poor situation. And later He had to suffer and die for us.

***I am glad Jesus Christ is the only reason for the season and that Santa Claus is not. The
famous song even gives Santa Claus the attributes of God the Father. I have done a lot of
intercessory praying during December because many commit suicide then, many churches have
Christmas programs, there are media reports about good deeds done by people which can
encourage others to be compassionate, and families get together in which good or bad can
happen. It can be the best time of the year for evangelism. It is true that “Jesus Christ is the
reason for the season.”

***from “Why I Am Not A Christian” by the famous atheist Bertrand Russell:

Then you come to moral questions. There is one very serious defect to my mind in Christ's moral
character, and that is that He believed in Hell. I do not myself feel that any person who is really
profoundly humane can believe in everlasting punishment. Christ certainly as depicted in the
Gospels did believe in everlasting punishment, and one does find repeatedly a vindictive fury
against those people who would not listen to His preaching -- an attitude which is not uncommon
with preachers, but which does somewhat detract from superlative excellence. You do not, for
instance find that attitude in Socrates. You find him quite bland and urbane toward the people
who would not listen to him; and it is, to my mind, far more worthy of a sage to take that line
than to take the line of indignation. You probably all remember the sorts of things that Socrates
was saying when he was dying, and the sort of things that he generally did say to people who did
not agree with him.

You will find that in the Gospels Christ said, “Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye
escape the damnation of Hell.” That was said to people who did not like His preaching. It is not
really to my mind quite the best tone, and there are a great many of these things about Hell.
There is, of course, the familiar text about the sin against the Holy Ghost: “Whosoever speaketh
against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven him neither in this World nor in the world to
come.” That text has caused an unspeakable amount of misery in the world, for all sorts of
people have imagined that they have committed the sin against the Holy Ghost, and thought that
it would not be forgiven them either in this world or in the world to come. I really do not think
that a person with a proper degree of kindliness in his nature would have put fears and terrors of
that sort into the world.

Speaking in tongues today is counterfeit and from the devil says John McArthur and I agree with
him. For you to have been fired was a work of the devil.

You are judging wrongly in a general condemnation. I am a true Christian and I did not
experience speaking and singing a few phrases of an unknown language under the influence of
the spiritual enemy. (I don't say Satan because he is not everywhere and all knowing like many
preachers and Christians indicate; not even the Apostle Paul claimed being hassled by him, on a
demon.) In Washington DC before the Washington for Jesus even in 1988, I met a lady in a
27
church on the other side of the nation who had some of the same words as I had been given and I
had passed 6 churches to go to the church that God wanted me to go to after I had looked in the
Yellow Pages. I don't agree with the hyper Baptist claim that that the gift of speaking in tongues
the other sign gifts stopped with the completion of the Bible. That is based on only one verse
and no doctrine should be base on one verse, or even a few verses. I believe that there is only 2%
of speaking in tongues done by Christians that is a gift from God. All of the rest is mostly faked
by individuals who want to be accepted in charismatic churches. The devil gets blamed for too
much. In relation to miraculous healing, most is done by him, but I believe that there is about
2% that is by God because of individuals faith and encouragement need. As I said, I have had
miraculous healings, but not in any church or special event for encouraging such. I also have met
true conservative Biblical Christians who have experienced miraculous healings and have
spoken in tongues. No man, not even John McArthur is perfect in their beliefs, but I have
recommended his book “Charismatic Chaos” to many and e-mailed three important parts of it
showing wrongness of adding to the Bible. It is also wrong to subtract from the Bible. BTW, I
am not a member of a charismatic church. I am attending a fundamentalist Bible Baptist
independent church ( http://www.hannoveribc.com/templates/System/default.asp?id=25727 ).

***Isaiah 58:13-14
God said, “If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath from doing your pleasure on My holy
day; and call the Sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord honorable, and shall honor Him, not
doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words; then shall
you delight yourself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the Earth,
and feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father, for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.”

***The Ten Commandments were not nullified by Jesus dying on the cross as many Christian
preachers claim. Matthew 5:16-20 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your
good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven. Think not that I am come to destroy
the Law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, Till
Heaven and Earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the Law, till all be
fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach
men so, he shall be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach
them, the same shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven. For I say unto you, That except
your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case
enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.” He also said, “If you love Me, keep My commandments.
And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you
for ever; even the Spirit of truth; Whom the world cannot receive, because it sees Him not,
neither knows Him: but you know Him; for He dwells with you, and shall be in you.” (John

28
14:15-17) And since 1999 when I realized that it was a Roman Catholic Pope that had changed
the Ten Commandments (not Jesus Christ or the Apostles), I have usually kept the 4th
commandment of the Ten (in the non-Roman Catholic Bibles) as Jesus Christ and the Apostle
Paul did (not the ways of the Pharisees), and usually have had more blessings than I do in any of
the rest of the days (even though I am doing fulltime Internet ministry. There are many
commandments and exhortations (each which is related to at least one of the Ten
Commandments) in the New Testament that true Christians should want to obey as the
wonderful Holy Spirit urges because they are loving Jesus Christ, God the Father, and the Bible
more and more. Legalism is when you are doing good because it is expected by human beings in
authority like parents, teachers, and pastors. But whenever we do what the Holy Spirit urges, we
receive at least divine peace and can also receive divine joy. (See also Romans 14:17, John
15:9-11, and Philippians 4:4-8.)

***Daniel 7:24-25 “As for the ten horns, out of this kingdom ten kings will arise; and another
will arise after them, and he will be different from the previous ones and will subdue three kings.
He will speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints of the Highest One, and he
will intend to make alterations in times and in law; and they will be given into his hand for a
time, times, and half a time”

“Notice what the Daniel 7 verse says the enemy does. It says here that he will attempt to change
both times and law. He will attempt to redefine law and pull us out of God’s timing.”

“The authority of the church could therefore not be bound to the authority of the Scriptures,
because the Church had changed the Sabbath into Sunday, not by command of Christ, but by its
own authority.”-- Canon and Tradition, p. 263

“Is not every Christian obliged to sanctify Sunday and to abstain on that day from unnecessary
servile work? Is not the observance of this law among the most prominent of our sacred duties?
But you may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line
authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of
Saturday, a day which we never sanctify.” -James Cardinal Gibbons, The Faith of Our Fathers
(1917 ed.), pp. 72, 73. “The Catholic church,” declared Cardinal Gibbons, “by virtue of her
divine mission changed the day from Saturday to Sunday.”-- Catholic Mirror Sept. 23 1983.
(Official organ of Cardinal Gibbons)

Question - Which is the Sabbath day?

Answer - Saturday is the Sabbath day.
Question - Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday?
Answer - We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church, in the Council of
Laodicea (A.D. 364), transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday.” The Convert’s
Catechism of Catholic Doctrine, p. 50, 3rd ed.

“The Bible says, ‘Remember that thou keep holy the Sabbath day.’ The Catholic church says,
‘No! By my divine power I abolish the Sabbath day, and command you to keep the first day of
the week.’ And lo, the entire civilized world bows down in reverent obedience to the command

29
of the holy Catholic church!”-- Father Enright, C.S.S.R. of the Redemptoral College, Kansas
City, History of the Sabbath, p. 802

"Perhaps the boldest thing, the most revolutionary change the Church ever did, happened in the
first century. The holy day, the Sabbath, was changed from Saturday to Sunday. "The day of the
Lord" was chosen, not from any direction noted in the Scriptures, but from the Church's sense of
its own power .... People who think that the Scriptures should be the sole authority, should
logically become Seventh-day Adventists, and keep Saturday holy."-- (Saint Catherine Church
Sentinel, Algonac, Michigan, May 21, 1995.)

*** Manipulation is not Holy Spirit urged. The following anagram indicates the only control
that is proper. I even don't like the phrase "Holy Spirit controlled" because it indicates that the
Holy Spirit is a dictator and forces. He only comforts, teaches, and guides.

C -- character & Christ-likeness

O -- obedience to God’s Word and the Holy Spirit
N -- needs & notions
T -- thinking & temper & tolerance
R -- reverence & relating to God
O -- observations
L -- learning & love with Holy Spirit help [Proverbs 3:5-6]

God hates religion and the following in our churches:

R -- ritual
E -- earnestness for superficiality
L -- legalistic
I -- ignorant of a lot of what is God-pleasing
G -- going on with un-Biblical tradition
I -- “I” problem especially in pride and selfishness
O -- obnoxious
N -- nasty, hypocritical, and condemnatory like the Pharisees of old

***When my mother was 8 years old she regretted many many years not telling her Dad she was
sorry for getting angry (because he had beaten her in the checkers game) and not telling him
good night the night before he died of a heart attack. After I was told that, I knew that I must
never go to bed angry at anyone.

***Death at least means no more suffering. I don't believe in a forever torture for the lost
supervised by Satan and the fallen angels. Why should the latter be rewarded for doing evil.
How could God enjoy His adopted children when He has to supervise Hell too? And presently,
how could our deceased saved relatives and saved friends be joyful in Heaven if they could see
us having struggles? For more information about after death:

***Who will perish? Does “perish” mean eternal punishment in fire?

Ezekiel 28:13-19
“13 Thou has been in Eden the garden of God;

30
every precious stone was thy covering,
the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper,
the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold;
the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes
was prepared in thee in the day that thou was created.
14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth;
and I have set thee so:
thou was upon the holy mountain of God;
thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
15 Thou was perfect in thy ways from the day that thou was created,
till iniquity was found in thee.
16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence,
and thou has sinned.
Therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God;
and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty,
thou has corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness:
I will cast thee to the ground,
I will lay thee before kings that they may behold thee.
18 Thou has defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities,
by the iniquity of thy trade;
therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee,
it shall devour thee,
and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth
in the sight of all them that behold thee.
19 All they who know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee:
thou punishment was horrible,
and never shalt thou be any more.”

Jude 1:7
“Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner,
giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh,
are set forth for an example,
suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”
2 Peter 2:6
“And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes
condemned them with an overthrow,
making them an example to those that after should live unGodly;”
Romans 1:18-21
“18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven
against all unGodliness and unrighteousness of men,
who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 because that which may be known of God is manifest in them,
for God has showed it to them.
20 For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world
are clearly seen,
being understood by the things that are made,
even His eternal power and Godhead,
so that they are without excuse;

31
21 because that, when they knew God,
they glorified Him not as God,
neither were thankful,
but became vain in their imaginations,
and their foolish heart was darkened.”

1 Corinthians 1:18
“For the preaching of the cross is to them who perish foolishness;
but to us which are saved it is the power of God.”
2 Thessalonians 2:8-10
“8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed,
whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of His mouth
and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming;
9 even him whose coming is after the working of Satan
with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them who perish,
because they received not the love of the truth
that they might be saved.”

2 Thessalonians 1:8-10
“8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them
who know not God
and who obey not the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ,
9 who shall be punished with everlasting destruction
from the presence of The Lord
and from the glory of His power,
10 when He shall come to be glorified in His saints,
and to be admired in all them who believe
(because our testimony among you was believed)
in that Day.”

John 3:14-16
“‘14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness,
even so must The Son Of Man be lifted up:
15 that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish,
but have eternal life.
For God so loved the world,
that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.’”
John 10:27-28
“‘27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them,
and they follow Me;
28 And I give to them eternal life,
and they shall never perish,
neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand.’”
