Safety and Reliability, Friendly Customer Service, Low Costs
In its 47th year of service, Dallas-based Southwest Airlines Co. (NYSE: LUV) continues to
differentiate itself from other air carriers with exemplary Customer Service delivered by more than 55,000
Employees to more than 100 million Customers annually. Southwest proudly operates a network of 99
destinations in the United States and nine additional countries with more than 4,000 departures a day during
peak travel season. Service to Turks & Caicos is expected to begin November 5, 2017.Based on the U.S.
Department of Transportation's most recent data, Southwest Airlines is the nation's largest carrier in terms
of originating domestic passengers boarded. The Company operates the largest fleet of Boeing aircraft in
the world, the majority of which are equipped with satellite-based WiFi providing gate-to-gate connectivity.
That connectivity enables Customers to use their personal devices to view video on-demand movies and
television shows, as well as nearly 20 channels of free, live TV compliments of our valued Partners.
Southwest created Transfarency, a philosophy which treats Customers honestly and fairly, and in which
low fares actually stay low. Southwest is the only major U.S. airline to offer bags fly free to everyone
(first and second checked pieces of luggage, size and weight limits apply, some airlines may allow free
checked bags on select routes or for qualified circumstances), and there are no change fees, though fare
differences might apply. In 2014, the airline proudly unveiled a bold new look: Heart. A new logo, aircraft
livery, interior design featuring a new seat and Flight Attendant galley, Employee-designed uniforms, and
an updated airport experience all showcase the dedication of Southwest Employees who connect Customers
with what's important in their lives.Southwest is committed to returning value to its Shareholders. Since
2010, Southwest has returned more than $7.1 billion to Shareholders through share repurchases and
dividends. As of August 1, 2017, this year Southwest has returned $1.4 billion to Shareholders through the
payment of $199 million in dividends and the repurchase of $1.25 billion in common stock. LUV is
Southwest's stock exchange symbol. From its first flights on June 18, 1971, Southwest Airlines launched an
era of unprecedented affordability in air travel described by the U.S. Department of Transportation as "The
Southwest Effect," a lowering of fares and increase in passenger traffic wherever the carrier serves. With
44 consecutive years of profitability, Southwest is one of the most honored airlines in the world, known for
a triple bottom line approach that contributes to the carrier's performance and productivity, the importance
of its People and the communities they serve, and an overall commitment to efficiency and the planet. The

BOOKING TRAVEL

Taxes & fees for lap children.

Infants between 14 days and under two years of age can travel on international flights as either a
lap child or in an FAA-approved car seat with the purchase of an infant fare. If you plan to travel
with an infant as a lap child, you will be required to pay the taxes and fees that apply to the
international portion of the infants itinerary. The taxes and fees must be paid prior to travel at the
Southwest Airlines Ticket Counter or by calling 1-800-I-FLY-SWA (1-800-435-9792). All
Southwest Airlines forms of payment are acceptable for lap children tickets with the exception of
Southwest LUV Vouchers.

No unaccompanied minors.
Minors under the age of 18 are not permitted to fly unaccompanied on international flights or any
itinerary that includes an international flight. If a minor is traveling with an adult over the age of
18, they must be listed on the same flight itinerary.

Combining fare types.

For international itineraries, Senior Fares cannot be combined with other types of fares in the
same reservation and must be booked in a separate itinerary. Upon completion of the Adult
travelers booking, you will be redirected to complete your Senior travelers booking on a
separate reservation.

Three forms of payment per purchase.

A maximum of three forms of payment per passenger may be used to purchase an international
itinerary. One credit card or PayPal account may be used in conjunction with other accepted
forms of payment including Southwest gift cards, Southwest Airlines LUV vouchers, and/or
reusable travel funds. All forms of payment may not be accepted at all locations. Cash may be
accepted in some international locations at the Southwest Airlines Ticket Counter. PayPal is only
accepted at southwest.com.

Taxes & fees for international flights.

Government-imposed taxes and fees on Southwests international flights (approximately $73 to
$107) are typically much higher than the government-imposed taxes and fees on our domestic
U.S. flights (approximately $11 to $25). Like all airlines, Southwest must include these taxes and
fees as part of the overall fare quote at the time of purchase. But rest assured, we will do all we
can to keep our portion of the air fare as low as possible.
