Oldest Roman Catholic Church in Romblon


In 1991, the image of the Nuestra Seor Sto. Nio de
Romblon placed at the altar of the Saint Joseph Cathedral
was stolen. It was only recovered in Jan 2013 by local
Catholic authorities after 22 years of missing.
San Gregorio Magno Parish

as Majayjay Church and St. Gregory the Great Parish
Church, is one of the oldest Roman Catholic churches
in the Philippines located in the municipality
of Majayjay in Laguna.
Namacpacan Church
The Namacpacan Church also known as the Santa
Catalina de Alejandria Church is a Roman Catholic
church located in Luna (formerly Namacpacan), La
Union, Philippines under the jurisdiction of the Roman
Catholic Diocese of San Fernando de La Union.
Formerly called as Luna Church, the church is placed
under the advocacy Saint Catherine of Alexandria in
1690 and known for its devotion to the Our Lady of
Namacpacan.

The Minor Basilica of Saint Michael the Archangel ,
(Tagalog: Basilika Menor ni San Miguel
Arkangel; Spanish: Baslica Menor de San Miguel
Arcngel) commonly known as the Tayabas Basilica, is
a Roman Catholic basilica located in Tayabas, Quezon,
Philippines under the Roman Catholic Diocese of
Lucena. Its titular is Saint Michael the Archangel,
whose feast is celebrated annually on September 29.

The San Juan Bautista Parish Church (Spanish: Iglesia
Parroquial de San Juan Bautista), commonly referred to
as Jimenez Church, is a late-19th century, Baroque church
located at Brgy. Poblacion, Jimenez, Misamis
Occidental, Philippines. The parish church, under the
patronage of Saint John the Baptist, is under the jurisdiction
of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Ozamiz. The church
was declared a National Cultural Treasure of the Philippines
in 2001.
San Carlos Borromeo Church
San Carlos Borromeo Church (Spanish: Iglesia
Parroquial de San Carlos Borromeo), also known
as Mahatao Church, is a Roman Catholic church
located in Mahatao, Batan Island, Batanes, Philippines.
The church's titular is Saint Charles Borromeo whose
feast is celebrated every July 4. Its beauty and
excellent state of preservation made it a National
Cultural Treasure by the National Museum of the
Philippines on July 31, 2001.

San Joaquin Parish Church
The San Joaquin Parish Church (Spanish: Iglesia Parroquial
de San Joaquin), commonly known as San Joaquin Church, is
a Roman Catholic Church in the municipality of San Joaquin,
Iloilo, Philippines within the jurisdiction of the Roman
Catholic Archdiocese of Jaro. It is largely known for
its pedimentfeaturing a military scene, the Spanish victory
over the Moors in the Battle of Ttouan. The church was
declared a National Cultural Treasure by the National
Museum of the Philippines.
