B. Content
Introduction
o Start with a brief description and analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the research design
and methodology
Summary
o Summarize the authors purpose and main points / evidence cited that are useful for backup
Conclusion
o State whether you agree with the author
o Back up your decisions by stating your reasons

C. Guide Questions
Answer the following questions:
o Is the title of the article appropriate and clear?
o Is the purpose of the article made clear in the introduction?
o Do you find errors of fact and interpretation?
o Are all of the discussion relevant?
o Have any ideas been overemphasized or underemphasized? Suggest specific revisions.
o Should some sections of the manuscript be expanded, condensed or omitted?
o Are the study design and methods appropriate for the purposes of the study?
o Have the procedures been presented in enough detail to enable a reader to duplicate them?

sources for theories, assumptions, quotations
and findings following the APA format.
