INTRODUCTION
Managerial effectiveness plays a great role in the organization. It is the one of the key
aspects in an organization that is to be developed. Through it, productivity and coordination of
employees will then develop. An effective manager performs activities efficiently and
effectively. This means doing things right and doing the right thing.
The effectiveness of the management will be a great contribution in achieving the goals
and objectives of the institution. The management plays a big role, from planning and delegation
to communication and motivation. But then, it must be put into consideration that it is not
enough to just perform the work, it must be done effectively and efficiently. The six most
common managerial success traits include communication, leadership, adaptability,
relationships, development of others, and personal development.
The study aims to find the perception of the employees of La Salle University about the
managerial effectiveness of school administrators. The study sought to answer the following
questions:
RESEARCH DESIGN
The research utilized the descriptive research method since study involved description,
recording, analysis, and interpretation of conditions that exist. With the aid of Qualitative Scale
of Measurement, the researchers would be able to be able to quantify on as to what extent the
participants agree to the given statements in the survey questionnaire. The researchers surveyed
the whole population of female staff of La Salle University-Ozamiz City.
RESEARCH ENVIRONMENT
This research was conducted in La Salle University-Ozamiz City premises, in the main
campus and in the heritage campus.
PARTICIPANTS
The participants of the study are the 45 female staff of La Salle University- Ozamiz City
both working in the main campus and in heritage campus (Birthing clinic, Nursing Office).
INSTRUMENTS USED
3.27 - 4 Agree
The researchers were able to obtain the information needed to continue this study. The
weighted mean was utilized for analyzing the data that was gathered. For in-depth treatment of
data, Frequency Distribution was used to emphasize the variations of data gathered.
As reflected in the table above, the management is very effective in relation to planning ahead to
complete assignments, in relation to the extent the employees agreed to the statement. It can be noted that
among all, no. 1 obtained the highest mean which in fact would then be considered as the strength of the
school administrators.

As illustrated above, employees do believe that the administrators were able to take control on
the usage of resources in doing activities or jobs, they have proper budgeting, and proper
allocation of resources to perform the work efficiently.

Issues
The table above signifies that the administrators need to formulate ways and develop attitude of
addressing job and non-job related issues. With that figures, it could be concluded that it is the weakness
of the administrators.

As shown in the illustration above, the ratings are not so high compared to the no. 1
indicators rating. It indicates that the manager-employee relationship should be developed. As to
the lowest rating, it is about the receptivity of the management to employee ideas. With that, the
management is more on autocratic style than being on a participative style of leadership. Thus, it
then affect the motivation level of employees.

As to the totally of the indicators, the weighted mean is 3.02 Satisfactorily Agree. This indicates
that the managerial effectiveness of the school administrators are moderate. With regards to the lowest
rating, it is on the addressing of job and non-job related issues. The management needs to develop in
handling the issues in the workplace to create establish a peaceful and harmonious working environment
and at the same time a good reputation.
CONCLUSION
As perceived by the 45 female staff of La Salle University, the researchers conclude that the
managerial effectiveness of school administrators are slightly effective. The strength of the school
administration lies in the planning and setting of goals and has to work more in addressing job and non-
job related issues. Thus, school administrators need to improve more for the betterment of the school.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the findings and conclusions made, the following are the recommendations:
(1) The administrators are doing well in the planning and setting of goals, and so, it must develop in
the implementation and evaluation process to get better results.
(2) The administrators should give chance to the employees to share their ideas. By that, employees
will be motivated and manager-employee relationship will improve.
(3) Addressing of job and non-job related activities should also be done. It improves the morale of
employees and organizes the working environment. These issues must be resolved for the easier
attainment of goals.
(4) The administrators should be stricter in implementing the rules and regulations by establishing
control. The secret of the success of an organization is the well-implementation of goals including
the rules.
