Yella, tait aussi le nom de l'mission - prsente chaque dimanche par le griot hal pulaar
Farba Sally Seck. Il y retrace l'histoire du Fouta et des Peuls, accompagn d'un bambaado
(joueur de hoddu ou xalam, n'koniba en malink) et d'une clbre griotte du Boundou (sud-est
du Sngal) qui, avec ses deux lles, entonne des chants au rythme du yeela, selon le thme
ou le pan de l'histoire aborde.

Yella, est aussi appel Debe au Mali.
