Topic: Character profile September week 3 2017 Length of Lesson: 50 min

Identify and describe characters' attributes and motivations, using evidence
from the text

Introduction Introduce students to the task handout and Formative: check for
5 mins rubric give a couple examples of what the understanding have them
students could do repeat their goals back to me

Body of Lesson Give students the period to finish it if it is not

Character Instagram page

But first, lemme take a selfie

Task description:

Create an Instagram page for one of the characters. Your Instagram


page must include:
1. A bio for your character
2. 3 pictures that may be on your characters Instagram page
3. A caption underneath the picture and textual evidence to support that
caption/ picture
4. A couple #hashtags under the picture in the caption area that relates
to your character and the book
