Future Horizons will be hosting the Milwaukee Autism Conference December 7, 2017 with guest
speakers Dr. Temple Grandin, Dr. Jed Baker, and Beth Aune.

Milwaukee, WI, October 26, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Temple Grandin, Ph.D. -- chosen by Time magazine as
their hero in the 100 Most Influential Persons in the World (2010) -- is coming to speak on the
autistic brain.

She contends people need to recognize and appreciate the strengths of brains formed differently rather
than focusing on the autism diagnosis, its social deficits, or the behaviors some of those with autism may
exhibit.

Dr. Grandin will be joined by Jed Baker, Ph.D., author of the best-selling The Social Skills Picture Book
series, who will be focusing on the subject of managing anxiety and frustration in children, teens, and
caregivers.

Dr. Baker's high-profile appearances on numerous television shows include ABC World News, Nightline,
Fox News, The CBS Early Show, and the Discovery Health Channel. He will focus on the subjects of

Beth Aune, OTR/L -- renowned for her practical solutions and strategies for teachers, parents, and
caregivers in addressing challenging behaviors -- will also speak at the Dec. 7 event. She is the co-author
of the gold award-winning book Behavior Solutions In & Beyond the Inclusive Classroom: See a
Behavior? Look It Up!

As the owner-therapist of Desert Occupational Therapy for Kids, a pediatric outpatient clinic, she and her
team of occupational therapists are dedicated to helping children achieve their highest potential in their
daily lives.

Ms. Aune has subsequently written two other popular books, most recently Behavior Solutions for the
Home & Community.
