PART 5

1. Gorge- looking at the cross-section it is U-shape.


Floodplain wetlands- this one is more of V-shape.

2. Gorge- the slope is quite steep


Floodplain wetland- the slope is more gentle
3. There is this distinct difference in slopes as a result of different environmental
occurrences such that the Floodplain is depicted by the flood waters. For the
floodplain to be present deposition and erosion occurred. In the cross-section
it has been displayed that there is no heavy or drastic erosion occurred but
deposition took place and that is due to the occurrence of flooding. Looking at
the gorge it occurred as a result of EROSION specifically vertical erosion
because the slope is in V-shape position and is mostly situated between
montains and valleys.
