1. 6 Competitors per team.


2. Leader (bibbed) facing team 3 m from team, each player 1m apart.
3. On Starters Instructions: On Your Mark: ball on the spot
Get Set: leader (bibbed) picks up the
ball

Clapper/Whistle: Go!
4. Leader throws underarm to No 1 who puts (NOT DROPS) ball on spot, runs out to the
right going around behind No. 6, around leader and back to spot picks up ball and
returns ball to leader, then sits. Foot must be on spot when they throw.
5. Continue on until No 6 catches, puts ball down, runs around leader, then behind team to
own position, returns throw.
6. Leader turns and runs with the ball through to finish line 10 m behind them.
7. Leader must have front foot on spot at all times and must touch spot before running to
finish line.
8. Runners are not to make any contact with other players or other teams. If a ball is
dropped or missed it must be retrieved by that player. All players must return to their
spot before throwing.
9. Leader to wear a coloured bib.

Tunnel Ball
Starting Instructions: Ready: Ball on the ground in front of leader. All feet together.

Set: Children move their left foot out to make tunnel space.

Clapper/Whistle: Leader rolls ball down the tunnel of legs.

1. Team follows the starters instructions. On the whistle the leader (bibbed) pushes the ball
through the teams legs.
2. When the No. 6 player receives the ball he/she runs to the dot in front of the leader. Once
he/she has done this, the ball can then be pushed through the teams legs.
3. The team continues moving and tunnelling until each member has had a turn in the
leading position.
4. When the last person receives the ball (original leader-bibbed) they run past the team to
the finishing line holding the ball above their head at the end of the run.
5. The team does not follow but sits in their last positions.
6. Leader to wear a coloured bib.

Starting Instructions: Ready Ball on the ground- Leader(bibbed) has front foot on spot.

Set: Leader picks up ball

Clapper/Whistle: Child throws to the first child on the left.

1. On whistle, leader throws chest pass to No. 1 who returns the ball by chest passing back.
2. Leader throws to No. 2 and so on.
3. On throwing to No. 5, team side steps to the next position (1-2,2-3 etc.) as No. 5 runs
taking the ball with them to the leaders position whilst the leader moves to the No. 1
position ready to receive the ball.
4. Continue until original leader (bibbed) is at No. 5 position. When the bibbed original
leader receives the ball at the No. 5 position, he/she runs with the ball, touches the
leaders dot with their foot and then runs with the ball through to the finishing line 10
metres away.
5. Leaders position is 3 metres away from the team and half way between positions 2 and 3.
6. Leader to wear a coloured bib. All players to have front foot on dot with remainder of
body except hands to be behind ground marker.
