Hey man,

so I wanted to approach things differently here than we did with the graphic story you produced
for me and instead of scripting things out and overloading you with the details from the story,
I'm pulling things back and just going to share the descriptions of each illustration.

We're also going to drastically tone down the colour, with the background being very subdued
and monochrome (for the most part) and only the main characters really being in colour and in
focus.

Okay let's try this:

1.Hoisted up on a kitchen counter, a crying 4 year old boy has his scraped knee attended to by
his mother, Ameli. who sings a soothing lullaby as she applies purple spirit to the knee.

2. The boy, now 8 years old, searches underneath a large bed, frustratedly calling our for his little
sister, Damalie (she's 3 years old), who's crouched on top of a dresser next to the bed, giggling
with her large eyes and beaming smile.

3. The mother sits in a large chair in the center of a room, calmly breastfeeding her baby (the big
eyed Damalie at 8 months) as she pushes away the then 5 year old boy trying to climb onto the
arm of her chair.

4. The 9 year old boy stands in a closet that seems half empty... only clothes on one half, shoes
on the floor also only going halfway across... only his mother's things, nothing on the other side
of the closet. The 3 year old Damalie sits by her brother's side, wearing several items of her
mom's traditional jewelry and wrestling to remove a bangle that's slipped up her arm.

5. As the mother washes clothes in a large basin outside, she yells instructions at the boy who's
hanging clothes on a line, one of them having fallen to the floor.... Damalie runs between them,
covered in foam from the basin.

6. The tired mother, just home from work, still in work clothes, soaks her feet in a small basin as
her kids sing and dance their hearts out around her large chair... she has a tired but contented
smile on her face.

7. A group of schoolboys talking, including our main boy... they're listening in awe to one kid in
particular... beyond them, a dreamlike procession of butterflies create a pattern leading to a
mysterious, glowing light in the clouds.

8. As seen from above, the mother flips through a large old raggedy album with faded pictures of
her past life... the boy looks over her shoulder amazed and amused, while Damalie falls asleep in
the mother's lap.

9. The distressed mother, arms at her waist, in work outfit, stands over the boy who's sitting in a
shadowy crumpled pile, facing away from his mom, seething with anger.
10. By oil lamp on the night stand, the boy places a damp cloth on his mother who is laying sick
and feverish in bed, sweat running down her face... A visisbly upset and worried Damalie stands
next to her brother looking up at him with her BIG EYES.

11. At an open market place the boy and his sister stand frozen to the spot as they stare a few
stalls down at a large male figure, his back turned, face never seen, purchasing items.

12. A group of kids, including the BIG EYED Damalie, in party hats stand a round a cake with
lit candles as the birthday girl Damalie prepares to blow them out.

13. As our boy, now 10 years old, also in a party hat, places an empty soda bottle back into the
crate, he notices a large grey butterfly land on the window sill, similar to the mystical butterflies
seen earlier.

14. The mother sits on the veranda, headscarf and light blouse, rubbing her feet together, as her
kids sit on either side of her, making faces at each other (sticking their tongues out, etc)... the
mom doesn't care... she's happy soaking in the last bits of a setting sun, with her loved ones
safely by her side.

15. Going back in time, our boy is 4 years old, eating breakfast at the table... the mother, in her
work clothes, clearly late, rushes dishes from the table to the sink... across from the boy, almost
entirely obscured from vision, is a large male figure reading a very big newspaper... only hting
visible is his BIG EYES, similar to Damalie's (not yet born).

The End.

Cheers, let me know what you think.
