INTRODUCTION

Irregular buildings constitute a large portion of the modern urban infrastructure.

This may lead to building structures with irregular distributions in their mass, stiffness and
strength along the height of building. In recent past, several studies have been carried out to
evaluate the response of irregular buildings work that has been already done pertaining to the
seismic response of vertically irregular building frames. Buildings with plan irregularities (e.g.,
those with re-entrant corners such as L-shape plans on corner plots) and those with elevation
irregularities are common in the affected area. Torsion irregularity, Re-entrant corners,
Diaphragm discontinuity, Out of plane offsets, Non-parallel systems.

OBJECTIVE OF STUDY

In this research study, it is aimed at to investigate the following:

To study the behavior of irregular building during Seismic analysis.

To explore the effect of irregularities in buildings.

To carry out analytical parametric studies using MATlab software.

SCOPE

This present study is to investigate the way to minimize the failure during earth quake
with irregularities.

To Optimize the Building with suitable dampers
