Join us on Monday, October 30th from
5pm-7:30pm in the Media Center for our
Family Night at the Book Fair!
To get started, please bring your drivers license into the office to sign up!
You only need to bring it once and then you will be set up in the system.
Our new system will print a visitors or volunteer badge for you to wear
down the hall. It also operates as our new student check in/check out
system. Please come to the office if dropping off a tardy student or
picking a student up early.
This system also helps identify any predators that should not be in our
building before they go down the hall. It is a great tool for keeping track
of who is in the building and also who is picking up/dropping off children.
Thank you for your cooperation in our new system. Change is hard but
safety comes first. Thank you for helping to keep our school safe!
Staff Spotlight for October
Mr. Parker 5th Grade
Hometown: Southampton, United Kingdom
Favorite elementary school teacher: Mr Choudry, who now lives in Australia and still teaches! He often messages
me on Social Media, just to check-in with how my career is going!
Where you went to college/university: University of Plymouth in Southwest England. I studied for a Bachelors
of Education and gained a First Class Honours degree.
Why did you become a teacher? I love being the reason why students enjoy coming to school . The future of this
world is in my classroom today, and that inspires me to always give my everything in order to develop and enhance
the students skills.
City you want to visit the most: Having visited and lived in many countries across Asia and Europe, the city that
is very high up on my bucket list is Rio de Janerio! Would love to go and watch a Brazil National team game at the
Maracana and then watch the famous Carnival!
Favorite thing to do outside of school: I love researching and organizing my next travels! Im always on
Skyscanner searching for my next adventure. This Summer, Im researching my trip to Colombia, Panama, Belize
and Mexico!!
Most rewarding part of being a teacher: That "oooooh" look on a student's face when they finally get a concept!
Thats what I live and work hard for!
Favorite sport/team to watch on TV: Soccer! Im a huge fan of Southampton, a team in the Premier League. I
spend my Saturdays watching the coverage of the Premier League, as it makes me feel like Im a home.
Silliest fact about you: I cannot stay awaked during a trip to the movies! Regardless of what film it is, how much
is the ticket I will always FALL ASLEEP. I once paid $25 for a ticket with reclining seats and 5 minutes into the
movie I was counting sheep! I cant tell you the amount of times Ive woken up reading the credits of the film.
