In case of power interruption or failure of cold chain equipment, the following steps will be undertaken:
1. Monitor temperature of vaccine storage unit every hour using the digital data logger. Record temperature readings.
2. If temperature rises above 8°C but still below 15°C:
- Move vaccines to the freezer compartment or container with ice packs.
- Record time and temperature.
- Contact alternate in-charge and report situation.
3. If temperature rises above 15°C:
- Move vaccines immediately to the freezer compartment or container with ice packs.
- Quarantine affected vaccines and label “Do not
