PROCEDURES

1. The outlet valve on the fan ductwork was fully closed.

2. A 2 inch diameter circular cylinder was placed in a wind tunnel with 300mm X 300mm
test section.
3. 20 pressure tapping holes were drilled to measure pressure around the cylinder at
equidistance over half of the circumference of the cylinder.
4. The flexible tubes were used to connect all holes to multi tube manometer pressure
measurement.
5. The velocity inside tunnel was set at 10 m/s and 20 m/s.
6. The pressure measurement were taken by reading the multi manometer tapping
location.
7. The pressure coefficients were calculated.
8. The graph of coefficient of pressure against location on the circumference of the cylinder
was plotted.
