CLERICAL & TECHNICAL JOB AUDIT FORM

The information you provide in this questionnaire, together with information submitted by your supervisor and
gathered by Human Resources, will be used to classify your position.

Employee Instructions:

1. Use this form when applying for reclassification to a job title in Grades A-D. For reclassification to Grade E,
use the C&T Grade E Questionnaire at http://www.yale.edu/hronline/compclas/ccforms.html.
2. Classification is based on a comparison of your work to the Universitys generic job descriptions. Before
beginning, refer to the generic descriptions at http://www.yale.edu/hronline/compclas/ctgrid.htm.
3. Provide answers based on your current duties, not on past work you no longer perform or work you may
be assigned in the future.
4. Do not fill in any section labeled Supervisor use only. Human Resources will send a copy of your
submitted form to your supervisor so that he/she can complete the relevant sections.
5. If you have questions about this form or the classification process, please contact your Human Resources
Generalist or your Local 34 Steward.
6. After completing all fields except those labeled Supervisor use only, sign the form, then return it by:

7. Human Resources will acknowledge receipt of your form, and provide a written decision typically within 90
days. You may be contacted by a Human Resources Representative for a classification interview.
