Topic of the month:- Insects

Conversation: Characteristics of Insects Six legs, three parts of the body, a pair
of feelers, lay eggs.
Introduction of new words:
Butterfly- Colourful wings, caterpillar, chrysalis, nectar from
flowers.
Honeybee, Ant Their colours, food (e.g., honey, sweet things
etc.), where do they live (e.g.bee hive, ant hill), bite/sting,
hardworking.
Mosquito, Cockroach, Housefly Wings, their colours, dirt, germs,
spread diseases, protection against those diseases.
Dragonfly, LadybirdColourful wings, their food.

Simple quizzes conducted on all topics done in class.

1. Pretty Butterfly

Here comes a butterfly and lays an egg,

Out comes a caterpillar with many legs.

Now see the caterpillar spin and spin,

A little chrysalis to sleep in.

Then from the chrysalis, my oh my!

Out comes a beautiful butterfly.

2. A Bug on Me

One, two, three,

Theres a bug on me.
Where did it go?
I dont know!

3. Bumblebee

Im a little bumblebee, watch me go,

Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz, to and fro.

When I find a flower blooming nearby,

I drink its nectar, then away I fly.
