End to End Inventory Organization
Overview
In this exercise, you will learn how to create a basic Inventory Organization in order
to perform inventory transactions.
Objective
The objective of this script is to walk you through the supplemental steps required
to utilize the Inventory Organization created in the Procurement New Business Unit
script in order to perform some basic inventory transactions.

Modify Inventory Organization Settings
Set-up Shipping Parameters
Update Receiving Parameters
Create Subinventories
Create Product Hub Security
Create Item/Organization Association
Assumptions
This script is an addendum to the Procurement New Business Unit Script
which includes the initial set-up for an Inventory Organization.
The assumption for this script is that the Procurement New Business Unit
script has been executed first. Additionally, this script is based upon the
Fusion Demo environment InFusion and is dependent upon some of the core
set up data in that environment.
There is additional set-up required in order to be able to utilize Fusion Cost

Management. Those steps will be covered in another script.

Login details are provided throughout the script

Update Implementation Project
1. Login as your new user
2. Navigator -> Setup and Maintenance
3. Open your Implementation Project
4. Click the Select and Add icon
5. Enter Materials into the Name field and click Search
6. Select the Materials Management and Logistics task list and click Done

Modify User Role / Security Set-up
1. Go to assigned task Provision Roles to Implementation Users
2. Select Administration (upper right hand)
3. Search for your users last name
4. Select your user
5. Select the Roles tab
6. Assign the following roles
a. Warehouse Manager
b. Warehouse Manager 001
c. Warehouse Manager 002
d. Warehouse Manager 003
e. Warehouse Manager 004
f. Product Data Steward
g. Product Manager
7. Sign out
8. Login as your new user

Modify Inventory Organization Settings
2. Select the Manage Inventory Organizations task
3. Search for your Inventory Organization
4. Select your Inventory Organization and click the Edit Icon
5. Click the Next button
6. On the General tab, Change the Item Master Organization to InFusion

a. Click OK to any warnings
7. Click the Item Sourcing Details tab
8. Change the Picking Rule to Seeded Default pick rule
9. Click Save and Close

Create Subinventories
2. Select the Manage Subinventories and Locators task
3. Ensure that the Inventory Organization (upper right hand corner) is set to
your inventory organization. If not, click the Change Organization button
and select your Inventory Organization
4. Click the Create icon
5. Enter Stores into the Subinventory and Description fields
6. Accept all of the other defaults
7. Click the drop down next to Save and Close for Save and Create

8. Repeat steps 6-8 and create subinventories for Inspection
9. Repeat steps 6-8 and create subinventories for Staging
10. Enter Receiving into the Subinventory and Description fields
11. Change the Subinventory Type to Receiving
12. Select your location for the Location field
13. Accept all of the other defaults
15. Click Done

Set-up Shipping Parameters
2. Select the Manage Shipping Parameters task
3. Change Weight UOM Class to Weight
4. Change Volume UOM Class to Volume
5. Change Release Sequence Rule to All Standard Orders
6. Change Pick Slip Grouping Rule to Order Picking
7. Change Staging Subinventory to Staging
8. Under Shipment Grouping Attributes, click the check box next to Shipping
Method
9. Un-check Enforce shipping method

Update Receiving Parameters
2. Select the Manage Receiving Parameters task
3. Check Allow unordered receipts
4. Check Allow routing override
6. Sign out

Create Product Hub Security
1. Note: Skip this step if you do not have the Product Hub provisioned
2. Log in as SCM_IMPL
4. Click the All Tasks tab
5. Enter Manage Item Class in the Name field
6. Click Search
7. Select the Manage Item Classes task
8. Click the Root Item Class
9. Click the Security tab
10. Find the EGP_PRODUCT_MANAGER_JOB or Product Manager row

under Item Class People
11. Select the row
12. Duplicate the row

13. Enter your Inventory Organization in Org
14. Ensure you have the following Actions

Create Item/Organization Association
1. Log in as your user
2. Navigator -> Product Management -> Items
3. Select the Manage Items Task in the Task Pane
4. Enter AS65001 into the Item search
5. Click Search
6. Select the Item AS65001 in Org 000
7. Click the Associations Tab
8. Click the Select and Add icon
9. Search for your Inventory Organization
10. Select your Inventory Organization
