Eriez' NEW Series FS Magnet Load Monitor
patrols the magnetic field of suspended
electromagnets for accumulation of
ferrous contamination. As ferrous material

accumulates on a manual cleaning suspended
electromagnet face, it shunts the magnet field,
reduces separation efficiency and plows good
product off the conveyor belt.

The new Magnet Load Monitor senses ferrous
material build-up and alerts the operator
when accumulations reach an operator-
predetermined level. The magnet can then be
cleaned to improve electromagnet separation
performance and reduce costly maintenance
downtime.

an FS sensor and microprocessor circuitry
AND to monitor changes in electromagnet field
indicating excessive ferrous accumulation
on the magnet. A NEMA 4X (IP67) enclosure
protects the control circuitry.

As ferrous material accumulates and
subsequently distorts the magnetic field,
the Magnet Load Monitor LED display alerts
the operator. An isolated output (spdt) relay
control can be integrated into the user's
control system to transmit an alarm signal

cleaning magnets to automatically remove
ferrous contamination from the product
stream where large amounts of ferrous
contamination may prevent manual cleaning
magnets from working efficiently.
